When did your 1st, 2nd & 3rd favourite watches change order & why?
Anyone with 3 or more watches, when did your order of favourite change.
I don't really mean because of a new introduction, but perhaps your mentality changed, or something happened, or I put in on after such a long time and my attitude has changed. Wrist time is usually a good indication of love for a watch - but not always. |

On more expensive watches I tend to have a 3-5 year shelf life on a style or metal. Wore a YG Daytona for almost a decade but once I moved away I have not looked back.

Mine hasn't changed. 1993 tritium dial 14060 is still #1.

Can't really say I like any one more that the other. It's like saying you love one of your children more than another.
I've always felt the watches I replaced were replaced with doing an upgrade in mind. Both my SS Sub and GMT were replaced with WG ones. My steel bezel SS Daytona is now a SS DaytonaC. As soon as I see the new WG DaytonaC, and if I like it, the SS DaytonaC is going to replaced with a WG DaytonaC. That's pretty much my thought process at this time.

That is a good question. Like Mike when I moved up to PM the SS got culled but now as I look at my Avatar grail trio, I have an order of rescuing them from a fire, and I don't think that has changed in the 6 months since I acquired them.

That NOMOS line is sneaky. Just when I thought my watch line up was solid 3 of them showed up in my watch box. They pretty much get all the wrist time during the work week. Still thoroughly enjoy my sport watches after work and weekends.

My 1st was a Dblue DSSD, then I got the LVC, which became my favorite. Then I got my grail watch a YG GMT2 with green face, which became the new favorite. I just bought the BLNR, and guess what, the YG is still my favorite.

I think it's usually the most recently acquired Rolex, for me anyways. After the honeymoon period, there is a switch back to my old faithfull, for me the SD4K
