If money was no object... which Rolex would you pick for...
If money was no object... which one Rolex watch would you pick for your SO? your son/daughter? Yourself?
At the risk of shocking a few, I think I think I'd pick: SO: Lady DJ (pink gold, smooth, roman) Son: Sub Date (SS) Daughter: Med DJ (TT, flut., roman) Me: DJ (SS, smooth roman) |

Well it certainly would not be a modern day Rolex, a very simple 1930s early 1940s Rolex Prince doctor style dial, pref S.steel but would have a silver or a TT if price was right.

Same for me
I would also add a yellow gold DJ 116234. For my lady the DJ with the rubber strap with diamonds set in it - a bit odd perhaps and quite blingy - but she has light brown skin and it would look fantastic against her skin tone. My son is only 9 but I would put away a SS Sub for him.

I think the history of the Saddam Rolex is that he forgot the watch when he left his palace. A person who worked for him sees the watch and run to him telling him that he forgot his watch. Saddam answer was that he could keep the watch. The watch was in subast since the person who had the watch could not wear it since it was too much for him. So there you go. In order to have your dream watch, is to work for Saddam and wait for him to forget something. Can anyone verify this history?
