Horrible day... But my watch got noticed

When I left for work today I thought I had a Drivers licence. But a Sheriff's deputy soon pointed out to me that that was not the case. A few months ago I got a notice from the BMV that I need to show proof of insurance on our 2002 Ford van. No problem sent in the proof. All is good Until halfway to work this morning. Seems my licence had been suspended be cause they wanted proof of insurance upto June 4th of this year. I sent them our new coverage that was dated June 8th. He made me park my truck and I had to call my son to come get me.. Long story short I had to take a copy of our insurance for the last year to Columbus (About a 3 hour round trip)and show it to them to have this fixed. It would have taken 2 weeks if I had mailed it. And the BMV would not take a fax from my Insurance Agent. My Agent said they have seen this before. What a pain. Had to take off work to get this done and $40 in gas. On a good note my Insurance Agent noticed my Tudor Sub and complemented me on it. He was sporting a Tag and remarked he was a WIS.

Man, sorry to hear about your hassle. Anything with the DMV IS a hassle, believe me when I say this as I am going through a very tough time with my license right now. It is, however, always nice to have your watch noticed by someone else who has the same interest. Glad you got everything sorted out though.

To make it even better. The officer told me that twice last week he had been behind me and had noticed that my licence had been suspended but had another call he had to go on. This morning he was waiting on me And even though this was all taken care of today, I still have to go to court on the 28th just to show them. So there is another day of work gone

Unbelievable and I thought our lot were over zealous. Obviously no common sense, why did they not just call you ..........it was obvious it was a misunderstanding over the documents and dates. I would write letter of complaint pointing out a quick phone call would have cleared it all up.

Up here in canada aka frozen North, we taxpayer have a huge bat we can use on our municipal, federal and provincial employees. It is section 337 of the criminal code.

It says and I quite "anyone employed federally, municipaly, or provincialy in right of her majesty the queen , and who is in charge of anything for which you are legally entilted to and who make a demand to have, must provide that thing to you failing which they are guilty of an idictable offence puishable with not more than 14 years in jail.

I have threatened to use this once or twice on my federal employee, and it strikes fear into their hearts, because it puts them outside the protection of their employer. Needless to say o got what I wanted. I believe most countries have such laws, ya just gotta spend some time digging through the statutes

They have to create more work to justify yheir existence. If not, they could be next in line to be retrenched. With no other marketable skill whatsoever other than creating trouble with people, they will be in dire straits once they lose their job.

Well, Jim, just remember the story of Angie the motorist who was stopped by a State Trooper for speeding. You were clocked by radar doing 45 in a 35mph zone said the State Trooper. As he wrote up the ticket, he noticed Angie wearing hospital scrubs and asked what she did for a living. Angie said she was a rectal specialist. What the heck is a rectal specialist?, the StateTrooper asked.
Well, said Angie, first I start gently massaging the rectum of the patient with lube on one finger , making circles. When the rectum begins to open up, I use two fingers, then three and eventually my hand, then both hands until I have the rectal opening about 6 ft large.
What do you do with a 6ft a$$hole? asked the State Trooper.
