Do you have that one special Rolex that you wear out only on special occasions?

Or you just do not wear it all due to some past event - and just have held it for 'keep-sakes' and preservation (for one reason or another, afraid of getting it stolen, dinged up, stored in safe deposit box, etc)...

I rotate all of my watches fairly often so there are none that are saved for any merit of an occasion --

What about the rest of you? Whats your 'special 'watch and where is it worn?

My two "special " watches are both my grandfathers on my dad as well as moms side of the family. I don't wear them. They are priceless to me.

Everything else I wear without hesitation to wherever, and whenever.

My dressier watch is my new DJII and is worn carefully because of the 18k bezel and PCL.
It could be a every day watch but I am keeping it a "nice occasion" watch.

Yeah, me too, altho I will probably slip on a ceramic Rolex when I don't want to even think or worry about my watch on a nice occasion.

As I'm writing this I'm down to one watch (sort of) so my yearning for a special occasion watch is starting to set in.

I guess it would be my early 1970s DeVille-- closest thing I have to a dress watch and it's what I wear to something like a semi-formal wedding if I wear a watch at all. Otherwise I pretty much wear a diver with anything. I'll even wear a blue faced diver on a rubber strap with a suit if the mood strikes me.

I guess when I need a dress watch I throw a croc strap on my 39mm Explorer. There are none really held back for special use. My GMT2 has the most sentimental value at this point but I haven't stored it away...yet.

That's my watch for all things fancy. My Pepsi is my favorite.

I don't subscribe to the notion that a dress watch has to be PM and in a leather strap. Maybe that was true 50 years ago but I'm not one to go with the crown and follow convention.

Very special occasion watch. .... Patek Calatrava. It's a very beautiful watch on a brown alligator strap. My wife surprised me with it on my birthday while on a trip to London. I had researched the heck out of Patek watches before our trip, visited a bunch of London watch shops, and then decided it was too expensive (about $6000). When I returned from a couple of meetings, my wife popped the watch out of a bag. Wow!!! It looks totally new now and is worth more than $6000.

Everyday watch .... Very old DayDate. Once in a while watches .... DayDate and BLNR. In the shop watch... Swiss Army.
