DJ 41 vs. DJ II
Hey guys. I went to one of my local ADs this past weekend to check out the new stainless steel DJ 41 in person. I am still waiting for them to get a rhodium / smooth / oyster configuration. I figured I'd still check out the blue dial because I used to own the same configuration in the DJ II and it would make for a good comparison pic to those interested.
While I am still going to wait to see the rhodium dial in person before making my decision, I am now leaning towards the DJ 36 in the silver stick, fluted bezel, oyster bracelet combo. I hope everyone had a great weekend ![]() ![]() |

The 36 would be a better fit for your wrist, IMO.

Excellent side by side, thanks. I would hold off on the DJ 36 until you have a chance to strap on the Rhodium 41 to see how you like it.

DJ41 looks fine on you, I'd go for that with all the nice updates.

Both look excellent on you IMO.
Would be interested to see the 36 on you next to a picture with either the 41 or II |

DJ 41 with movement updates would be my pick. You can probably get a very good deal on the DJ2 though ..

I saw them both side by side over the weekend and I didn't really understand how much more I like the DJ41 until they were next to each other.
It might just be the picture making proportions look off, but Adam might be correct about the 36 being a better fit if you wrist size is small. |

I never considered the DJII but the 41 is a different story. It has the classic lines and wears smaller than the 40mm sports range. Once I tried on the 41 I knew I would end up getting one. I'm also very impressed with the feedback on the new movement. I'm looking forward to an incoming in the near future!

To me the blue on DJ41 is much better. Plus I do prefer the smaller batons.

I agree that the DJII looks bolder and more predominate than the DJ41.

Agree that the blue completely changes shades based in lighting. It's a great color. Love my II but appreciate the 41 as well.

DJII as it looks more modern and masculine. I just find it more sporty.

Good comparison pictures. I prefer thinner batons so 41 would be my choice.
On a side note when I first got into Rolexes, I preferred the smooth bezel. Now that I have my DD40 I'd only consider fluted. Funny how that works out. I know you have your eyes set on a DD40 eventually so I'd go fluted for sure. ![]() |

I'd go dj 41. I cannot stand the dj 2. Worst fitting rolex on me ever.

Thanks for all the input everyone, I appreciate it. I used to own the DJ II but I sold it after a few weeks because something was off and I couldn't figure out what it was. That was until I saw the DJ 41 (two tone) in person. I realized that the proportions were off (to me at least.) Once I heard rumors of the DJ 41 releasing in Stainless Steel I got rid of the DJ II immediately.
Yeah I am pretty sure I agree. I should have taken a picture of the 36 on my wrist but I forgot to. The DJ 36 is such a classic watch you can't really go wrong (IMO) Quote:

![]() Yeah I agree with you as well, I should have posted in the OP that the DJ II in the picture is one I used to own. I sold it after wearing it for a couple of weeks because the proportions were off to me. |
