Warranty card dated 2014 or 2016?
I'm looking at purchasing a watch and am not 100% sure whether it is dated 2014 or 2016.
Assuming the same person wrote the date with the same handwriting, is it me or is there a stark difference between the second digit (month) and the last digit (year)? To my eye the date on this card is 06/2014, but the seller says it should read 06/2016 since Rolex did not give out the new style warranty card back in 2014, which I can understand. What do you all think? And is there a way to officially verify this prior to purchase, short of bringing this into a RSC? |

Looks like a 4 to me since the 6 in the month looks nothing like it. Plus it seems different pens were used.

Based on the running loop across from the 2 all the way to the 6, I don't think it was added after. I write like that sometimes and all my numbers end up all over. I'm going to go with 2016.

It is 2014. Write 4 very quickly and you will see a number like that.

Someone was in a hurry to write the date and get the client out of the store. That "1" though! it's a cursive L

Compare the 6 for June with the 4 for 2014. Clearly a 4 written in cursive flow. A comparison with the clear 6 in the month section shows that the year end is a 4 and not a 6.

Call the AD where it was purchased. They should be able to clear things up for you.

If I had to guess, the AD is Italian and who wrote was a woman.
That is 100% 2014 in Italy

IMO that's an international (Rolex SA) warranty card that wasn't issued until July 2015 at the earliest and paired with the new 5 year guarantee. So it would have to be 2016 if I'm thinking correctly The year was probably written in separately as well by someone else at a different time at the AD |

That's 2016 all the way. The month was written slowly and printed. The year was written quickly and in cursive. I did a quick search and it appears those cards were produced in 2015. That's 06/2016 all the way.

It is 2014.
Someone who writes the 6 so round and bubbly would not put that sharp corner on the bottom left corner of the "4". You can almost see the discontinuity and two lines at that sharp corner. Here this should help: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The 0s are consistent so why shouldn't the 6s be. It looks like a 4.

Whoever dated it is an idiot or cannot read as the card is asking for the date to be formatted as "dd/mm/yyyy".
