So are there any Rolex owners out there that...

can't stop thinking of getting a PAM!!!!

OMG, I'm so in trouble. I told myself not to buy a watch for a year or two. There are no Rolex's I'm dying to have right now (that I can afford anyway), so I just keep looking around and these damn Panerai's keep popping up. ARRRRRGH!!!!!!!!

There, I fell better.

I've got two nice classic Rolex watches, but my next is definitely going to be a PAM 98......I blame Launch Mini for that !

How weird. I'm a Panny person who has now got into Rolex big time having never really got the rolex thing.

Well bug has bitten now and I've got some very nice rare pieces.

Probably going to look to trade or sell my 98 to get another if you're interested.

Never quite liked the PAM but maybe because I never payed attention to them or tried them on. I will refrain from doing so to avoid temptation trap

You are a wise man. I too was never a big fan of them until I saw them in person. Whatever you do, don't look at them in person and NEVER, NEVER, NEVER try one on.

LOL. I miss my base 112. I never was a fan until I tried one on. Hooked like it was a hard drug....

I tried on a 112 the other day and it is the only watch I have looked at recently that I would have bought on the spot, and not quibbled about paying list......

Sigh........ Someday I will have another base. Maybe a pre-loved 000????

Looking at watches on the internet and seeing them in the flesh and putting them on your wrist are two different things, Panerai are starting to really spread out a bit and gaining a very good reputation, when they first came back out i didn't really like the crown guard look, but once you slip one on at the AD and start thinking about them you're going to be a lot poorer

Oh and buying a Panerai isn't the end of it, you then move onto the strap buying, which can end up costing you a fortune!

I have Greg Stevens/Julien Landa/Kaktus.All very nice and highly recommended ...then the OEM gators are extremely nice too .The mustard brown that comes standard with the 242 and the Jules Verne Nubuck Gold in 26/26,125/95 and the antique brown that comes with the 231 and 289,my favourites.

Bluesy Sub, GMT-IIC and a Millie all purchased AFTER my Panny 233. Still think everyone with more than four watches should have a Panny.

I started out with Rolex, then Dman influenced me, now only Panerai, but would like to add a Rolex back into the lineup.
Blue Sub or maybe the LV. Trip to AD tomorrow is in order.

I've the Pam 48 - steel with black dial on a brown strap, 40mm. Every time I think I want to go bigger I try a larger Pam on and decide against it. I'll keep the 48 - it's a great look and a great watch. But, frankly, I think Rolex is more my taste....

They are a beautifully classic watch. I've regretted not buying since I first saw one in Las Vegas about 10 years ago. Definitely one I'd like to own, but an AP is at the top of the list for now.

While waiting for a white faced Daytona and the DSSD, I bought a PAM 111. I have since got the DSSD and several other cool Breitling watches, however I believe the 111 is still my favorite. It gets noticed more than the DSSD.

I dont really wear a PAM,to impress others,but I have noticed to following .....

My 104 gets more noticed than a Daytona I used to wear.I am not kidding.

Most commented upon Rolex, was the Blue TT Sub.Thats what I found. It was and always will be my favourite Rolex that I owned. The most striking Rolex of all.

Most commented on PAM,the 231.The 289 I dont wear often enough to get any comments ..

I actually cannot believe how many PAMs I have acquired over the past year. Oddly enough I still have several on order. I almost agree whith whomever said never try one on. The watch I get more compliments than any other by far is the yellow faced ferrari watch. It seems most people have no idea what a daytona is or a PAM 270. I never want to attract to much attention to a watch because I really do not want to get robbed in the parking lot.

Like TR, I am looking at the PAM 183. You have good taste TR. I really like the 183 ever since I tried one on in ST. Thomas, I've been smitten with it.

I love PAM's - I have a 177ti but, think about getting others all the time... The only watch I ever even get complimented on is my 177ti...
