New Rolex owner, kinda

Greetings all,

I just special ordered my first Rolex from Ben Bridge: a stainless Datejust with a jubilee bracelet and a silver concentric dial. I've owned a couple other swiss watches (a Movado and Omega Seamaster Pro), but always felt lacking. Anywhooo, now I'm just twiddling my thumbs until my baby comes in.

I just picked my first Rolex today. My AD told me it would take 2-3 weeks since it was a special order, but it took just one! What a surprise!

Sorry about the poor pictures: I haven't calmed down yet!

I love the Arabic numbers on that dial - and it looks like you have some lume, too. My first Rolex was a lady DateJust with the concentric dial. It's really striking and unusual. Congratulations!

Thank you for the compliment. My dial choice came down to the black face with batons or the concentric arabic silver dial. The black face looks really traditional and classic: both are qualities I value. I went with the arabic because I thought it might be a little easier in telling time. With my SMP it always took a split second longer to tell the time since there aren't any numbers. Call it "time acquition (TA)." I know, I know, I'm being a big baby but I'm sure I'm not alone with OCD types.

I really like the arabic dial

I think Rolex make this style DJ in Platinum with a beautiful pale blue dial.

Have you tried out the lume on your DJ, it should be outstanding. You need to give it a charge of light first

Love the Arabics on that Concentric dial, Cato. What a fine looking dress watch with the added bonus of that superb Jubilee bracelet, of course!!

Well done!!
