What did I do to my Rolex Submariner?

There is a black line running across the pearl on the bezel. Did I crack this somehow? How would this be fixed?

It is just a cosmetic thing so not the end of the world, but anyone have anything similar happen.

Tough to tell from the photo, but it appears to be damage from an impact of some sort.

Cheap. Under $100 installed. The super exposed pip is the worst aspect of the ceramic watches.

Indeed. The Pelagos is a more compelling watch for me. If it were 40mm and SS, I'd own one. The modern subs do nothing for me and I really wish Tudor would go back to a further refined 79190 sub style watch.

That was one thing I always mindful of when I had SubC's. The new Sea Dweller's pip is similar to the ones on 5 digit models.

OP, you'll find some useful info on this thread from Ironstark

Check it with a magnifying glass to see if it's a crack. It is repairable.

Looks cracked to me, shouldn't be too hard of a fix for a watchmaker with the correct tool.

Should be under $100, hope they don't insist on changing the insert as well.

Looks like some stress marks on the ceramic around the pip ring. Definitely took a hard hit to something solid.

Before you send it to Rolex, take it to a Rolex AD with a certified watchmaker, just to make a preliminary examination. It might be a simple fix.

Maybe the little black line is a tiny GMT hand built into the pip. 🤷*♂️

Is the chip in the ceramic between the 6-7 indices new as well ?
Or is it a trick of the light ? It looks like it has had a knock. A new pip will seem cheap a against a new little ring of ceramic !!

Oh no, I think you need to get a new movement, case and bracelet (hands and dial are OK)

Not...

Really?? I barely noticed it under the magnification of your photo. It's a divers watch and built like a tank. If that's all that happens with daily wearing that would be great. Wear it with pride and enjoy it. It is meant to be worn. If you get it fixed it'll be like everybody else's sub. It is now truly your unique submariner. Great watch

Why don't you dig out the rest of the pearl and go for that vintage look?

Wasn't there just a post a week or two ago about someone having a similar issue? Seems like a cheap fix.

I'd ignore the crack on the pearl and wear the watch as is. The pearl is cosmetic, forget about it.
