Three continent incoming
Of late, I’ve been caught up in the hype around the 116610lv....which is not helpful as I had been trying to stick to a commitment to hold off on any more watch purchases for the rest of the year!
With that context, 2 weeks ago I was in Europe on business and found myself jet lagged and up at 3 or 4am...so what better thing is there to do at that hour (before having enough coffee to deal with overnight emails) than scratch the itch to see if a trusted seller on TRF can get me a “hulk”? Sure enough, he could! So, from Europe, I did a deal with an awesome trusted seller in California to send me the watch to Asia. The entire transaction went amazingly smoothly (GREAT service - see my latest post in who’s who) and before I knew it the watch was on its way. The only slight issue was that the watch was moving faster than I was....so at the end of the week, back I flew full of anticipation for what was waiting for me at home.   But with a full day of work facing me as soon as I was off the plane, the unboxing would need to wait even more painful hours. When the time for unboxing came, I was thankful that the box was well packed as one of my kids decided it would make a good toy!         After the unboxing, i can say that the 116610lv is a great looking watch that lives up to the hype surrounding it. So you might think that my itch has been scratched and my temporary obsession with this watch has been addressed...but you would be wrong. I’ve decided to give this one to my amazing wife, so am now on the hunt for one for myself! Updates on this search to come in future posts. |

Either one would make for an expensive mistake if I got one on spec and she didn’t love it. If she didn’t like the LV, I’d have been quite happy to keep it for myself. |

I was totally taken with the bezel and dial colour before making the purchase, but had some nagging doubts that the watch would be either too large for my wife or too small for me. With the watch I hand, all concerns have been allayed as it looks great on either of us...now onto my wait for the next incoming |
