Don't worry I won't list them all....But since this is my 1000th post I thought I would look back on my

of Rolex Watches.
Back in 1975 as a teenager i saw my first Rolex at a AD where I grew up in a small town in PA. At that time they displayed small brass numbers as to the price. I COULD NOT BELIEVE MY EYES that someone would pay hundreds of dollars for a watch!!! when most watches were in the $20 range.

I VOWED TO SOMEDAY GET A ROLEX! And I did in 1982 with a Day Date which cost me $3200. I saved for a downpayment and put the rest on a 12 month plan. Thus Began my love for Rolex.

But back in the 80s it was the time of one watch for most people. There were no watch magazines, no watch winders, nothing for anyone who really loved watches. At that time i would get left over jewelers trade magazines from a friend and get excited when every once and a while there was a watch article....and if i ever read anything about Rolex it was like hitting the lottery!!!

I remember in the late 80s when Patik developed a watch winder. But the only way to get it was to buy the very expensive watch....I thought why doesn't someone make and sell these.....But to my supprise in the early 90s watches began a craze that holds strong today! I bought my first winder in 92...Then had a wealth of magazines, yearly guides, and memoribilia to follow.....now after owning and flipping over 8 Rolex's I as all 0f you are in our glory we now could find a wealth of information by a simple googel search or here on the greatest source of information anywhere!

TRF has answered all questions i had over the years! Thank you everyone for all your wealth of knowledge....Its Priceless!

Congrat's from a fellow member from Des Plaines, IL. I am now 50 and can remember my love of all things Rolex from when I was a pre-teen and seeing the occasional Rolex ads in magazines. I have only one Rolex, a TT DJ, but I love it and wouldn't consider flipping it. Perhaps, there may be more Rolex's in my future, but for now I am completely satisfied.

If only a Rolex cost a few hundred dollars now.

There are so many reasons to love Rolex. To me its something indefinable - wearing my Rolex just makes me feel good. The brand has a mystique - it might be down to marketing, but who cares. If it makes you feel good that's all that counts in my book.
