16613 18k gold bezel replacement cost?
I'd like to get an idea on what an RSC would charge for a replacement bezel for a 16613? Mine is rather worn/overpolished in a section.
Thanks in advance! |

the bezel ring alone is about $800- $1000 for OEM 18k
aftermarket 18k ones can be had for $500 or less but you'd need to ensure its not plated. if you sell your old one you should be able to get a few dollars back, so i'd go OEM. |

Thanks for the reply. If I take the watch to my local authorized dealer they would be able to replace the bezel there or would they send the watch out normally? So they will give me back my original bezel correct?
Is there any place online where I can purchase a new oem bezel or should I just go to local dealer to be sure I get actual oem? |

The AD is the only way to be 100pct certain of oem. I'd open a wo and let them just order the part and do it in house because I'm not sure if rolex keeps PM parts.
If you google, there's a few places which sell the aftermarket ones to indy's and public but again, I'm not sure of the quality but many of the sellers are reputable by internet standards. I'd just pass by the ad and ask to be certain. |

I'm going to swing by AD and see if they can give me a quote. If its $800-1000 I will likely just go ahead and do it. Hopefully closer to $800 I hope!
I'm tempted by the price of the aftermarket ones BUT since there is no way to be sure exactly what you're getting or even where it's made I'd rather go OEM. If it's more than $1000 I think I will just live with it. Thanks for your input. |

Yup, I know. I wanted to get an idea of what it will cost before showing up there and being stunned by a ridiculous price
Since an aftermarket one is around $500 I would pretty much gladly (perhaps not the best word, lol) pay $800 for an OEM...$1000+ not so much |

Keep the watch genuine Rolex. Don't buy aftermarket. Quality won't be the same and it may not even be solid 18K. Better to keep the bezel ring that is on the watch. JMO of course!

My recommendation: do not ruin the beautiful watch by putting aftermarket parts on it. Just keep the current bezel if you don't want to go genuine.

I'm with these guys. Stay genuine. Not all 18k is the same. Different 18k alloy mixes give slightly different shades of gold. So even if you do find an aftermarket that is solid gold you can't be guaranteed that it will match the shade of the Rolex gold.

Thanks for all the feedback guys...much appreciated. Looks unanimous for going OEM. I will hope for the $800 or just keep my original bezel. Thanks again :)

I know it's been a while but just wanted to update the thread for anyone that might stumble onto it. I ended up having the bezel replaced at AD with a brand new one. Cost was about $850 installed. They did not let me keep the old one though. I'm happy I went with the genuine Rolex part and the watch looks amazing with the new bezel...those nice fresh teeth and perfect symmetry..love it!!!
Thanks again for all the advice. |

Thanks for the update, even if after a year :)). I hate it when OPs ask questions but don't follow up sharing the outcome, as the info could help others.
Did they replace only the ring for that price or the bezel insert also? |

My insert was in perfect shape so just the ring. Although $850 is a lot for such a small amount of gold l honestly thought it would be even more$. It really makes the watch pop now.
First pic is with the original bezel, you can see how worn the bezel was especially between 30 and 40....2nd pic is the new one.... |

Very nice! That makes quite the difference! Nothing like the nice sharp crisp edges on the new bezel. Definitely worth the price of admission.
Thanks for the update. OEM was definitely the better choice as you can guarantee what you're getting. Spend $500 on an aftermarket bezel and at probably least $100 for installation? The difference is too minimal to take a chance on receiving a lesser quality part imo. |

Thanks very much for the kind words guys, much appreciated! If it wasn't for the advice you guys gave me I might have gone in the wrong direction.
Yup, I do agree with the idea that the price difference between the real deal and pretty much unknown is just not worth it. Also, I really do think it was money well spent. Thanks again |

Out of curiosity, did they keep or return your old gold bezel? Is there a "core charge" if you just popped off the old bezel and got a replacement? While I don't much object to rolex keeping internal worn parts I'm not sure I'd be happy with them keeping expensive parts and not at least discounting the replacement part.
