Hulk Thoughts
I got one recently. bnib from a great ad. He made me promise not to sell it. Which i agreed to. However, it has yet to cling to my heart like i thought it would. I just stare at it in the box and it has yet to take over wrist time from my other vintage watches......am i alone here? I thought this watch was dynamite in pictures and on my wrist in the showroom but it has yet to really set it. What should i do?

Its YOUR watch and you can do with it as YOU please. If its not singing to you it won't be hard to move as its a hot piece at the moment.

That's simply horrible! Please, allow me to help you during this most troubling time in your life. i'll give you $100 to take it off your hands, as this way you can enjoy a nice meal out with someone special. To make your life easy, simply let me know what address FedEx needs to come pick it up. You're the best!

I don't know when HULK fever set in, but I don't think it's a watch for everyone. I liked it in pictures, but it didn't sit as well for me in person. I think it's a great collection piece and many of the members here have rather large collections. As an everyday watch, I just don't see it.

What are your other options unless you take it back to your AD and trade it in on something else or ask for your money back since you made a agreement you wouldn't ever sell it, your hands are tied. I would say you are in a small minority as most of the LVc owners cant gush enough about their passion to the unique Rolex.

It’s your watch. If it don’t sing to you, sell it.

So your AD made you "promise" not to sell it? Did he make you sign a legal binding contract? This is simply laughable what some AD's are "demanding" from the customer who pays his salary and bills. SMH. If it doesn't sing to you, it will be gone in less than a day on the for sale forum here. And at a tidy little profit.

If it doesn't sing to you, don't force it. Just because others are a fan, doesn't have to be the same for you. If it is the AD promise thing, follow up with your AD and see what the options are. You might be downgraded from Champagne to Diet Coke for your next visit/purchase, but outside of that, what is the worry?

It's not for everyone, my AD has one sitting in the safe in the back and ask if I wanted it, i wasn't I interested. It's nice to look at though, as for the not selling part. My AD ask me we have a "gentleman's agreement" that I won't sell it for a year, my SD43

Is the AD your boss or your master?
Sell it if you don't like it. Why tie up that kind of money that is just going to sit in the drawer or every time you wear it, you hate it. Just sell it and don't look back. I tried it on at an AD months ago, it was not my taste either. |

Well it’s yours so of course you can sell if you want to, even if you had promised the AD, circumstances and tastes change. Your intention has never been to flip immediately for a profit, which was probably what the AD was referring to.
I’d be tempted to give it a bit longer though. It took me quite a few weeks to bond, especially as it felt like cheating on my first sub. 4 months in and now I know it’s not going to anyone else, ever! |

LVC either makes sense for you or it doesn't.
Aside from that, it's your property and you can certainly do whatever you'd like with it. |

People who sell the Hulk usually regret it. I would give it a year and see if you change your opinion. If not, I would flip it for something else that you would enjoy more.

Give it a couple of months, if it's still not for you then sell it privately for what you paid or a little less.

Wear it, if it's not your thing then sell it. Plenty of people that'd gladly take that burden off your wrist.

If it’s still stickered, stick it in the safe if you don’t need the cash. Maybe one day it will sing to you (tastes change) or in 20-30 years there’s a good chance you can make a decent rate of return by selling it.

You definitely have to give it some wrist time !
See it in all different lights & situations. Seriously, I know where you are coming from on this . . . but after a while anything else you wear just looks boring. (especially black watches) |

if i won the hulk raffle, which would be awesome, i would wear that thing for a year straight with a smile on my face. I guess i am saying that putting 9050 into a modern watch is different for me....i think what could l get for that on the vintage side.......like a nice 5513 or a decent exotic dial big block....know what i mean? I really like the watch. it has yet to blow my socks off. Once i wear it there is no turning back...right now it is staring at me from across the room as i ponder.....i have a 16610lv which i bought reluctantly from a dealer on the site here nashvillewatch but he was right....i would learn to love it and i do. Perhaps the same with the hulk. Just needs time.....more time.
