I might never take this off...incoming Sky Dweller...
I had actually put my name in for the black dial because it's so elegant and seems more dressy. But then I started thinking that I already have a couple of black dials (Daytona and Milgauss), and a quirky Z-Blue Milgauss...so when my AD ( a Rolex boutique in a regional chain jewelry store) said she thought she was getting the Sky Dweller, I told I'd prefer white. Lo and behold 5 days later it's on the wrist. I love it.
Couple early wrist shots...we have a thing to go to, but I wanna take more with my good camera and lenses later. Driving over the Ravenel Bridge in Charleston, SC, and downtown for the evening. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk |

Lol, I'm strictly just an amateur hobbyist. When I was a college student in the 1970s, I had a Ricoh SLR, then a Pentax SLR. I loved shooting with Ektachrome slide film. In the '80s & '90s, I kind of got away from photography for a while. I eventually picked up a Nikon Coolpix in the early 2000s. These days, I mostly just take pictures of my watches with a cell phone camera, lol. I've researched Leicas from time to time, and I appreciate the precision (and the history), but I haven't seriously pursued one. Of course, I guess that could always change. -Rick.

Congratulations on the sky dweller. I was not a fan of the white dial until I saw you photos. Truly amazing, wear it in good health. Man you have to refer me to your dealer, I need to buy couple of pieces if she is really that cooperative. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Interestingly, she (the sales rep, not the owner) said after the Sky Dweller and Daytona last year, she is refusing to agree to try to get any more special pieces because of all the difficulty she encountered --presumably the wait, the communication with the buyer, the rep, and me badgering her all the time. But she was really good-natured about it. She said it half-jokingly. I told her if she gets a reputation for acquiring difficult-to-get pieces, there are a lot of people with substantially more means than I have, and who would want to do business!
