1st post and 1st Rolex...Deepsea Blue.

4927CFC7-08F8-4437-B045-11B5CD6F4914.jpeg

It’s big but could care less (have a tiny wrist). Love it! Seems like the resale from other sites is lowering the price. Could care less, no regrets on the purchase. AD offered the SD43 first but someone left a deposit quickly before a response. Two months later got a phone call for the deepsea blue and just bought it on the spot. I got that feeling that this will eventually discontinue. Any thoughts?

Congrats. It's a mesmerizing watch when you see one in the flesh. Yes I think likely discontinued next year, or some sort of big change to the DSSD lineup.

Congratulations!

The D-Blue dial is mesmerizing. I bought it on impulse when my AD offered it to me, but I've since stashed it away unworn in the safe deposit box as I'm afraid it'll look ridiculous on me. Your post gives me hope that I can resize and wear it one day...

It's a great watch! Big, but there are bigger ones out there. I think it's a great statement piece and is well balanced on a Rubber B strap.

you know what i have the sd43...and the deep sea is a beautiful watch.
Congratulation.
i have been asking around AD, to see if i could try it..and if i did i would probably fall in love with it.
i would like to buy it some days...but i want to see it in flesh first.
It looks great on photos, so i can only imagine it looks better in hands.

Enjoy it....well done.

It is in a class of its own in construction and style, not to mention the changing color of the dial. It truly is an amazing watch unparalleled in Rolex lineup.

I'm just like you starter1!

Columbus sailed the Ocean Blue,
In Fourteen hundred and ninety two,
Megan loves her Deep Sea Blue
Unique and True with a Beautiful Hue

p/s: I very rarely wear the D Blue (It's fitted with the Rubber B now) but forms an important centrepiece in my personal collection, sort of like a luxury trophy to celebrate my accomplishments!

What a great entry to the forum. I'm like you with a small wrist size; it doesn't keep me from wearing larger watches however. I'd need to see on in the flesh to see how it would feel before I'd jump in. I'm worried about how it feels on the wrist.

Beautiful watch Ms. MF17!!! Why don't you wear it more? Just curious...

Appreciate the compliment Mr Lee. I work in a Government Hosp, Mr Lee, dealing with mainly sick and poor patients all the time. None of my fellow colleagues and bosses wear a Rolex (Ok, one WIS colleague wears a Zenith Christophe Colomb Hurricane Grand Voyage...and would you believe it Nobody I mean Nobody recognizes THAT watch except me! ) It's just that my other Swiss, Japanese & German watches fly under the radar and that makes me more comfortable when dealing with people. I just don't like people staring at my Rolex and teasing me about it

Thanks for your explanation, Ms. MF17; my wife is an RN at a nursing home. She wears her Tudor Lady Sub but that isn't near as eye catching as the DSSD BL.
