Fake Rolex or otherwise.....
I am new to the luxury watch world and just recently purchased a SS GMT-IIc from my AD about a month ago. However I have been just browsing the net for other luxury watches and came across the AP line. So for the heck of it I looked at the price of one of the watches I liked, and it was something crazy like $345K!!! So that being said..........would you every consider purchasing a good fake of a watch that you adored but could never ever afford? I think the fake I looked at was about $300. It still looks nice

Buy what you want to buy, if you feel that you like the look of a watch and would wear it then go for it. I've never really been one to look down on people because they wear fakes, it's a watch that tells time.

I agree.....wear what you like! Now I would never try and pull it off as the real thing, I just like the looks! If someone asked I would readily admit that it was a knockoff.

Fakes that are sold as fakes aren't a problem, for me the problem are those who produce them to fool the real market, they copy the boxes, certificates, etc to try to flog it on ebay for a fortune, i also can't stand the vintage market with the amount of mix and match stuff put together and then they try to sell it as 100% original at eye watering prices.
I would prefer the fake market did do 'hommages' instead, remove the name, keep the look so no confusion.

Even if you don't have a problem with it being a fake (I do), the watches are usually junk. You have no way of knowing what kind of movement is in it, it's unlikely to be water resistant, and there is noone to go back to when it fails. The people selling counterfeit watches are engaged in an illegal business so there's no better business bureau division to help you get your broken, fake watch repaired when it fails in one week. I've heard of people who bought fakes made with a decent Swiss ETA movement that kept great time, but those are few and far between. For the same money, you can buy an homage or some other quality watch that you don't have to lie to yourself or others to wear.

I would never wear a fake. I could not feel good knowing I was wearing a counterfeit watch or anything for that matter.

No, I buy it for the quality and to know I have the real deal.

Why waste $300 on a POS? You'd be much better off spending that money on you and your wife or girlfriend on a fine dinner at a posh restaurant.

Jeez....mabye I should also stop putting I can't believe it's not butter on my toast because it is not the real thing! Not trying pull it off as real, or support any type of group, just like the way the watch looks but could never afford or would spend $345K on a watch. I simply like the look. Thanks for the comments!

sorry but we feel very strongly about these asian countries proliferating the string of fake watches into our borders, and we do not support anyone who aids them in doing this by purchasing them..

Didn't realize that all fake watches were made by terrorist groups or groups supported by drug cartels! So do they just make fake watches, or are other things I should be keeping an eye open for???
