Retouched lume?
I'm on the hunt for my birth year Day Date. What do you guys think about these two options? The first one looks like it has the original lume, but it is starting to deteriorate, and the dial has spekling on it, which I assume is from the deteriorating lume. It does not come with the bracelet.
The second one comes with a bracelet, and the dial appears to be in good shape. However, is it just me, or does it look like the lume has been retouched? Thanks! |

Hard to know 100 percent, but based on that close-up, those hour dots look OK. Lume/tritium questions can often be answers by shining a black-light on the dial/hands. You can find inconsistencies, color/glow variations that way, which can be a sign that the lume has been touched up.
