Which should I sell?

Trying to free up 20k for another toy. I cant decided if I should sell my 16528 or 5711. If I sell the 5711 I'd buy a 15400 and put the rest of the money towards the toy.

Thoughts?

Thanks.

It's going be difficult to get anyone on this sub-forum to endorse selling the 5711 unless you are going to get huge $$ for it and you're completely over that watch. Blue dial will sell faster and for more money condition being equal. Don't count on getting another one of those easily if you want one again in the future. Good luck with your decision.

At these more recent bubble like pricing points, I wish I had a 5711 to sell

Might be a good time to sell, esp if the love is gone. I'd sell the Daytona tho.

Sell them both, buy a new watch or two and have plenty left over.

My personal opinion. Ask yourself why you bought the 5711 at the beginning.
If you're done with the 5711, it's the right time to sell.
As investors would say, sell high buy low. Except in this instance when you buy back it's going to be a long while, or not at all, to buy low.

Depends on the condition of the Daytona! I’d probably sell the 5711 as prices are funny.

if you are thinking of selling the 5711, then thats the one you should sell as the prices are at a high. No sense in keeping either really, if both are considerations on the chopping block but the 5711 makes more sense to let go now.

This. Makes perfect sense.

Personally though, I would sell the Daytona (if I were 50/50 between the two models).

Cheers,
Joe

I would sell the 5711 if you did not buy it during the bubble. It comes down to what the watches are worth and how much you have left over for your new purchase.

If the Daytona gives you the cash you need, I’d sell it as I’m not a chrono fan. Your watch, your choice, but for me the 5711 has staying power.

Ill be honest, I love the 5711 as a 20k watch which is more or less what I paid. I cant say I think this watch is really worth 40k plus right now. I do love the watch, but I often ask myself, do I love it because is extremely hard to come by right now?

It’s definitely not a 40k watch - but worth keeping. Sell the Daytona.

I would keep both if possible.... If not, I would sell the 5711 in a heartbeat with no regret....

Not sure how your Daytona is but like what some members say it depend on the condition of the Daytona....

Since the 16528 it a semi - vintage.......

It's very rare to find a mint condition non polish with all the original complete set such as box, paper and accessories that came with it when new......

I would keep the 16528 because in the long run it more rare and as time goes by it hard to find a mint condition full set... Plus it will worth more in the future too.....

Rare & hard to get, if you going to buy it back in the future with the spec requirements such as mint condition non polish complete set....

I would sell the 5711 because it worth top price now & people willing to pay stupid money for it, just because of the hype that going on now......

5711 price is max out @ between 40K - 45K... With that being said it will not increases in value any more as it still in production.....

5711 hard to get but not rare.....

You could buy it back in the future for the same price if you were to sell it for or cheaper if it hype cool off..... Guarantee you could even get it below 30K if the global economy is doing bad....

Good luck on your decision......

Hope the pictures of my 16528 will encourage you to keep the Daytona.....

The practical side of me says sell the 5711 and I’d probably move mine for 40 so maybe by May, lol. But man - it would be so hard to reacquire and I hear the mothership is actually
Trying to get involved with who gets them. So may be impossible to get another AD direct

That said I like the 11 more than that Daytona so I’d move that

By toy do you mean watch? I thought not, so I'd just sell the Daytona.

Thank you......

Like what I say..... If you could keep both that would be great......

If not why not maximize your profit by selling the 5711.....

Good luck with your decision.....

Best Regards,
Tony
