Trying on my Grail,

I know it’s not for everyone’s taste and many people will say no to leather bracelets on a Rolex, but I’m pretty sure I’ve found my grail today.

I think the 36mm proportions wear really well, and the watch was well balanced on my wrist.

Looks good with leather strap. Very understated but oozing class

Very nice buff if me the DD bracelet makes the watch. The lack of adjustability is the only thing that holds me back

It’s a stunner up close, that blue sunburst dial. The leather strap is nice and thick and solid too. And that small rolex crown clasp....slap me silly!

Anyone know where I can offload a kidney and a lobe of liver?.....I hope this watch is still around in 10 years when I’m actually able to afford!!!!

I wouldn't trust anyone that says no leather on a DD or DJ.

i like it. The smaller size makes it look more formal. You could go bigger but it would change up the look.

The strap works.

I prefer the DD on a leather strap, this will be my next purchase. I like the leather strap and looks very smart. What is the size of your wrist? Thank you very much for sharing. Looks great.

Would be lying if I said I knew my wrist size, tried on the DJ41 too that dwarfed my wrist IMO. My BLNR bracelet had just one link removed from the 12 o’clock side.

The leather is really nice and solid too, not too soft. Pictures of it online didn’t do it the justice, my only sadness was in having to take it off!!!

Looks like you have a pretty big wrist, the watch almost looks too small for you. My .02.

I thought the same, however I do think 36mm is the perfect size on leather for sure.

Hahah thanks for the enabling, BUT unless I win the lottery or get a six figure salary job tomorrow this will be a dream and Grail for a long time coming!

Gorgeous. The blue dial DD is a thing of beauty, bracelet or strap.

36mm will forever be a classic day date size. One watch that will never look too small. That is a thinking man’s version too. Damn.

My thoughts exactly, it will be the quintessential classic size. I for one am happy they have a leather option. As much as the president bracelet is truly fantastic. I like the leather a lot.
