DJ 36 MM -- Super Jubilee Hidden Clasp is GONE!
it looks like all 36mm DJ with Jubilee Bracelet will come with "Folding Oysterclasp with Easylink 5 mm comfort extension link" instead of the hidden clasp!

Not ideal, is it? At least the 41mm and 36mm will now be the same in that regard.

Oh wow, Glad I got mine with the hidden clasp even though I can’t get a perfect fit!

The hidden clasp was a nice feature but the "old" jubilee always had a real clasp and because of that I really like the jubilee of my DJ41.

That’s a terrible decision. The hidden clasp is really elegant. I was waiting for the DJ41s to get it and now they’re going in the wrong direction. At least I have it on my DD.

I was planning to pick up a DJ36 sometime in the future and the jubilee hidden clasp was a definitely something I wanted. Might have to change my plan.

Bad decision in my opinion. I opted for a 36mm over the 41 for the sole reason that I wanted the hidden clasp on the jubilee. To me, I think it looks much nicer than with a clasp. I have the clasps on my Subs. Didn't want it on the DJ.

The square-set new case design of the DJ36 is a huge retrograde step, too.
The traditional oyster case lug curves jettisoned in favor of a generic angular brick, for no apparent reason. |

if this is true then I don't need to wait for the 36 dj with the new movement. Love the hidden clasp. Well at least I have it in my DD

I still see "Concealed folding Crownclasp"
This thread seems like fake news |

I think you may have been looking at one of the existing models instead of the new release. I just checked both and the SS jubilee says “concealed crownclasp” while the TT jubilee says “folding Oysterclasp” |

The concealed clasp is something truly special on the Datejust since it's something that was previously reserved just for the Day-Date. It gives both the jubilee and president bracelets an uninterrupted continuity. IMO not having the hidden clasp is as bad as the steel clasp on 16233 Datejusts and pre-2000 16613 Bluesys. I found a 16613 in great condition for $7k but as soon as I saw the steel clasp I got turned off in addition to the hollow center links. I never knew the gold going all the way around was something introduced in 2000-01. I thought it had been there since the beginning of the TT model.

If you dig deep into their website, some still come with the hidden clasps (for now) but I can bet you this will not last forever. When the new 36mm datejust comes out, they will eventually make this change across their entire lineup so if you want one with the hidden clasp you’ll have to give up the new movement.

That would singlehandedly be the worst decision for rolex. The hidden clasp is great.

I'm withholding judgement until I see a pic.
Anyone have one???

Rolex website clearly states the jubilee has the folding oysterclasp with easy link extension. Crown clasp is gone!

This appears to be true only for the new TT version. The SS version still shows the hidden crown clasp on the Rolex website.

Yes that's because the new version is only in TT. When the new version SS comes out, most likely next year it will have the same Oysterclasp. If you want the crownclasp you will have to buy a previous model.

I own the hidden clasp and I love it. I would not buy the new one.
