Would you wear wg pepsi?

Seems so fustrated if I have a wg pepsi. I won't wear it anymore and dont want to be shamed by others of wearing the same pepsi looking watch that can buy at 1/3 price.

Damn rolex what are you doing? You betray your buyers in face.

Honestly, if I had one, I would still wear it. It's a beautiful piece.

The new SS one is very similar, but there are differences that I am sure a WIS could easily see (if you care about that).

wow...how shameful that a person might be mistaken for wearing a $10k stainless steel watch.

I would put the WG Pepsi a huge step up from the SS version. If you already have the WG there’s no reason to get the SS. I would rock the WG.

If someone actually recognizes your BLRA then something is really wrong with them.

The market that bought the WG Pepsi most likely wanted stealth. They weren't looking for a bling piece otherwise they'd bought a yellow gold version.

For those that want the look of the Pepsi and want the heft and the feeling of white gold on their wrist , the BLRO checks all the boxes.
For those that want a "beater" Pepsi , the new stainless version will meet their needs.

Ashamed?

Do you wear your watch for yourself or others?

It's not the same, it's white gold and comes on a different bracelet. The person wearing one knows that.

I’m still planning on picking up a WG BLRO this holiday. I hope I can still find a first gen black dial BNIB though...

Frankly I don't wear watches in term of what other people think, couldn't care less, if I did I wouldn't buy Rolex watches, because 10k or 25k+ are equally insane amount of money to spend on a watch.... not to say most people don't care about watches anyhow... Furthermore The new SS Pepsi has a jubilee bracelet that will clearly let people in the know, know that is is an SS reference. But does it matter? The WG is and always will be special because it was the first bi-color ceramic bezel, and the SS can never take that away from it. It is and always will be a special watch. But the new SS Pepsi, I feel, is the rightful heir to the GMT line, thus the Jubilee bracelet.

If it really bothers you trade down to a smurf......Rolex hasn’t “betrayed” you there yet.

Good find

Ordinarily a 2y.o. Thread is no longer relevant - but that quote must have been taken right to the drawing board by Rolex designers.

Haha I just came to think what smurf owners would think of a SS blue dial sub. Same as Pepsi Max owners back in the day properly (:
