Who correctly correctly predicted ...
Guys/Gals,
Who here correctly predicted the new SS Pepsi GMT for this year Basel? Who plans to get one? I kept saying the new SS Pepsi GMT could be here at the Basel! I'm so excited as this will be my new GMT but this current production shortage, I don't know if I will be able get one this year. |

Honestly thought we were going to get a SS GMT with black/red bezel, being that the WG had the blue/red.. Boy, was I wrong!

Several people suggested that it could be released, but I doubt if anyone saw it coming in its current format.
I wasn't expecting it, because I didn't foresee the way Rolex would distinguish between the 126710BLRO and the 116719BLRO. I'm glad to see that they are more creative than I am and while there seems to be a lot of criticisms about the watch, I fully expect it to be a smash hit.

Now it's coming back to it's roots. If only we could get an Oyster bracelet with brushed centre links on the Rolex Pepsi |

I was definitely thinking SS Coke GMT II like many, and I think I would have preferred it over the pepsi, the more I look at the photos.

I didn't predict it.
But I did quietly contemplate the possibility of buying one if it actually happened. It looks like a very nice watch |

Honestly, I did not know what to think. So I had no prediction other than maybe the movement would be upgraded.
I far preferred the white gold version with black dial and Oyster Bracelet. While I don't own a GMT, I suppose part of me liked the exclusivity of the white gold/black dial. Now it is exclusive, but the blue dial ruins it. Not that I have said all that based on photos only, I really look forward to seeing this one with the Jubilee bracelet. It is a unique look.

Here ya' go...I made a last minute prediction, calling shortly before it was announced!
https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=593230 As well, I was made aware that Bruce The Man Lee not only called it, but did so not minutes before, but days before! Quote:

I was hoping actually for the ultimate letdown....no new GMTs (coke/pepsi etc) and the jubilee teaser was just for a datejust variation. Learned to expect less so I'm never disappointed @ Baselworld.

Luck or educated guessing, I called it (after the teaser trailer) couple days before with some of my rationale (even got the change in case/lug so you couldn't swap the jubilee out for oyster correct)
Although i didn't think the WG pepsi would come back with blue dial though ;-) https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=592837 |
