What are your other interests?

I am really into fast cars and cheap women....errr I mean I like all sorts of beautiful things.

I am really into cars, but unfortunately I have yet ot obtain my dream car but I guess I still have time to get that 911. Besides cars and watches I am a bit of a movie buff, I own well over 200 dvds and we have quite a large number of chinese movies on top of that.

I am into auto racing...F1, CART, IRL, NASCAR and other racing series. I go to various car races in the Northeastern USA, which is where I live. I also like to watch the races on TV.

Depends if it's to taste the varied varieties throughout the world or just to get drunk. I don't think there's a lot of difference.

I tend to do it for the first part, but sometimes end up the latter part.

Sorry to dredge this up, but I just found it after my absence....

Peter, what kind of road cycling? Did you ever race?

For me, road cycling (two time provincial champion and raced internationally), alpine skiing, x-c skiing, politics, home improvement, F1, general car/bike/aviation enthusiast.

Hi John, I do mostly club riding now -- rides of 35 to 65 miles. Maybe one century per year. I've slowed down over the last ten years, which is really frustrating. I used to ride a few evenings a week, but now weekday rides are rare. I've become a fat corporate drone.

I tried racing crits in the early '80s, but wasn't much good at it. I was a perennial Cat 4. I was afraid to risk serious injury, so I wasn't aggressive enough.

Hey Peter, that's pretty cool stuff. Cat 4 racing is scarey.

I hear ya on the weekday ride issue. I haven't had one since my daughter was born, and it's still hard to justify a 100km ride once a week, let alone twice a week. LOL I made it up to Cat 1 one season, but was competitive Cat 2 the balance of my career.

I just cleaned up and polished my regular road bike and put some new cork on it for a club ride tomorrow. Can't wait. What do you ride?

Here's my current ride, a custom Serotta Ti... Built in 2001. Record 10-speed with new compact crank, Mavic Ksyrium SSL wheels, Deda one-piece bars/stem. I even put the US$100 Campy bottle cages on it.

I also have my old Eddy Merckx Century, TSX frame. I originally built it up with Chorus parts in '92, but it's all Record now. It's relatively heavy, but a great ride. It's been a loyal steed over many great and memorable rides. I met my wife on that bike.

I have to laugh now when I watch a Cat 4/5 race. More balls than brains. On the other hand, the strategy and control demonstrated by the 1/2s is beautiful to see.

What do you ride these days?

Tyler,

How long have you been playing guitar? Electric or acoustic? Any particular genre you play? (Or try to play? )

I go through bouts of playing where I'll play every day for a couple of months, and try to recover all the stuff I've learned and forgotten. ;-) I've been playing about 35 years, and have the skill of someone who's been playing about 5 years. :-(

It's about time you started looking at girls Tyler.
Eating and watching TV are almost as bad as my drinking beer.

Great Adrian, go ahead and corrupt the young lad! At least when you drink your beer you can watch TV while looking at girls. See you know how to multi task.

Sorry it has taken me so long to reply Manatee. I've been busy. Anyway, I've been playing for about 3 to 4 months. I play the electric and I like to play rock and metal mainly.(a.k.a. the easy stuff)

I love to golf, play poker, travel and spend time with my two boys, ages 6 and 11. I also design synthetic hairballs for ceramic cats.
