Do You Track Your Rolex Accuracy!!!

I'm curious as to how many actually track the accuracy of their watches. I did on my first but haven't really since then.

Using Toolwatch app, the Air King was at -2 seconds per day, well within Rolex superlative chronometer standard.

I do for the first few weeks for every new (to me) watch I get. I usually quit after I determine it’s working fine.

Same for me. This is a bit of a change for me, as I used to monitor watches more frequently because I was interested to see if their performance changed under different conditions, but my 114060 and my Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra with caliber 8500 are both so darned stable and precise, I feel that I don't need to be concerned about it any longer, and now I just hack them approximately once each month to keep them reasonably close to the standard.

I do with all my watches, from Rolex down to beat up old 1970s junkers. Noting how the movements perform, and in what positions, is all part of the fun of watch collecting for me. I use time.is for tracking.

I do exactly this using time.is as well. Even noting how I rested the watch overnight. Glad I am not the only one.

My 1984 GMT Master keeps a very consistent +1 to 2 seconds a day. And it's actually beating my modern SubC which gains about +2 or 3 seconds a day. Very happy with both watches performances though.

Same here

I periodically check mine. I don’t do it all the time, but I like seeing how they perform. Interestingly, my 5513 was my best timekeeper recently at +1 sec every 3 days. Since it is an older movement, I can regulate the time placing it in different positions overnight and keep it within +/- 5 sec all the time.

Sorry to be slow with the actual poll. Hopefully the choices will give enough representation of how people see the issue.

Yes I do because I enjoy it. Accuracy is so good that it’s more of a fun observation.

To be honest with you I never have down to the seconds , every so often when I’m on my phone I look down at my watch and compare the time , if it’s on the same minute , I’m good !

When you have so many watches from different watchmaker brands including very high precision analog quartz, digital quartz and Spring Drive movements like I do, you tend to lose track...
( Get it ? Track Accuracy, Lose track? )

I don’t wear any one my watches for more than a day or two. The next one I wear needs to be wound. As long as they are tracking close to other clocks I see during the day, I am happy.

I have been with my newest watch for a few weeks...just because I can do so with ease using an app. I'm not obsessed as long as the watch keeps reasonably accurate time. If it weren't, I'd notice without actually measuring and would bring it in to be checked. Afterall, it has one key purpose.

Yes, but only to check initial regulation. After that I just let it go until the next time change.

Been using an app called WatchCheck to track all my watches. Easy to use and reminds me every day to do it. Fun to track them for a couple weeks. My Datejust II is averaging -2.3 sec/day while the SD43 is averaging -2.2 sec/day.

One interesting thing is comparing the accuracy of the watch when wearing it vs when it's sitting in the safe for a day or two. It does make a difference.

Was obsessed initially, but less concerned as the months passed. Now as long as it doesn't seem egregiously inaccurate I am content.

It’s a fun game for myself to keep my Explorer at +- 0 seconds per day. On a normal day of wrist time, plus keeping the watch upright while I’m sleeping, It’s 90% of the time dead on when I check around mid day. I think it gains around 1 second per 12 hours during wear, and loses about 1 second every 12 hours while upright, so this system works well for me. Plus keeping the watch upright in the box insert keeps it at the perfect angle for viewing it during the night.

Yes I do. I use an iPhone app Twixt time. My SD43 is very accurate, +1 sec/month. My other Rolexs, Batman and YM40 are +/- 4sec/day. My Cartier is measuring in minutes per month.
