I was in Orlando last week, saw one in the showcase at an AD in a shopping mall (can't remember the name). Perhaps it is the same one??

Should be a very easy watch to find. Saw 3 already in montreal alone. A submariner in a metal that looks just like SS for 30k.... You won't find many buyers.

I've seen a few of the WG & YG "Smurfmariner" around in Aus... have tried on both and the blue is much nicer than it appears in some photos I have seen...

Could be a good time to get on "the list" for the likely 2010 SS black dial version...

Cheers

Yeah, I was at RDV last Friday and noticed it in the case also. Irene let me play around with it.

At first I wasn't even aware they made a white-gold blue-dial sub. When I first saw it, I asked her if Rolex was putting out Sub-Dates with customized/different dials and faces. She proceeded to tell me that this came out from the 2009 Basel show and that it was white-gold Sub-Date with the glidelock bracelet.

I didn't know these things were rare?

I tried one on at an AD in Scottsdale, Arizona a few weeks ago. I can't remember the price, but I know it wasn't anywhere near $30K. Perhaps I'm in the minority, but I liked it. If I were in the market for a precious metal sport watch, however, I'd prefer the YG GMT II with the green dial. That is a good looking watch!

Cheers,

Chris

Hey a Raleigh poster! I'm just down the road.

I like the watch but can't cough up $30K for it. Make it in SS and I might take a look again.

I think that will be my next. A SS Sub C Date. It would rock this world if they came out with a Blue SS SubC in 2010

Does that Blue WG have a C bezel to it? It does doesnt it?

I agree with the previous posters; I've seen the new blue faced WG submariner at my AD and I believe they're widely available.

At $30, 000 USD, I don't think we will see MANY in the wild.

I saw one at my AD two weeks ago.........

It was an inventory watch and available for purchase, not pre-sold to a customer

Good looking watch in person, the blue does not seem to photograph well.

Saw them over the holidays at an AD here in Vancouver Canada. Does not impress me...would prefer the "Bluesy" TT over it.

Have to agree with my boy TP here. Why pay so much for what looks like SS? In this case, gold truly is guud.

Saw one in the window at Dickson in Paragon Shopping Ctr in Singapore last week. Price tag wasn't visible though but I have to say the watch looked real nice!
