Dumb question about the 16710

I've had this watch for 8 years, and I've always called it a sixteen-seven-ten. Is it actually a one-sixty-seven-ten? Or do some of you say one-six-seven-one-zero? All semantics, I know, but would love to hear your thoughts!

That's how I think of it. But I type it more than I actually say it, so it's moot for me. I also refer to my GMT2 as "BLRO" and not "Pepsi." I hate the nicknames.

I do love that watch though. Should I end my Rolex purchasing hiatus, that is #1 on my list.

To be honest and answer your question, I think it doesn’t make sense to use the first two digits. That’s the 6 digit models. You don’t call a 6 digit Sub a ‘one-eleven-sixtysix-zero’, it’s an ‘eleven-sixtysixty-ten’. Just like with a BLNR, it’s an ‘eleven-sixtyseven-ten’. At least that’s how I’ve always read it and heard it spoken.

This comes from my experience with Sea Dweller if I’m being honest, the 16660. That’s the one-triplesix-zero.

I think all 5 digits should start with ‘one’ and all 6 digits should start with ‘eleven’ or ‘twelve’

I call my 1680 16-80 so we don't want the 4 digit refs to get jealous

Sixteen Seven Ten. Ceramic - One One Six Seven Ten. God knows why, that's just how I'd say it.

With my Hulk, I always see it as eleven-sixty-six-ten...

Maybe you can dial eight-six-seven-five-three-oh-nine and find out the correct answer
