Case width DJ 36mm

Does anyone happen to know what the exact dimensions are for a classic 36mm datejust. Is the 36mm the diameter not including the crown or is this an inclusive measurement? Thanks

As Devildog says, not including the crown. Crown (screwed down) adds 3mm.

FWIW, the actual diameter of the bezel is closer to 35mm.
