Rolex Explorer 2 Discount

Every AD case I've seen has had an Explorer 2 Polar but nobody will move on it because of steelmania. Does anybody know of an AD who will move in these conditions?

Not without a relationship. They have no reason to discount when they can get full retail all day long. Used to be an easy piece to snag with a discount, my how times have changed in a few years!

Sadly so, but I wouldn't strike on an ExpII for MSRP, but that's just me.

Many here would love the opportunity.

The sad thing is I have quite the relationship. I work at an AD! Cant get a discount until you're vested for a long time.

I guess I'll have to wait for a crash in demand before I pick one up. Love the watch but not for MSRP

The price might have gone up by the time that happens (if it ever happens at all) and the discounted price could then be over the current list. These days most of us would feel lucky if we could get a steel watch that we wanted for list price.

Is this the reason that you wouldn't be willing to check out a seller on this forum?

I've always thought the Explorer 2s were steals at MSRP compared to the rest.

Funny as based on the popularity of the Subc/GMTc I've always thought the delta needed to be wider, it was too expensive comparatively, one of the things that put me off.

Even with a relationship it's quite difficult to get a discount on anything steel. Not entirely impossible, just more difficult. I think trusted sellers are still offering something off on these.

where are you ?
No dealer gives discounts on Rolex anymore
There are rumors of small discounts on datejusts and daydates and pearlmasters but as the UK is one of the cheapest places to buy in the world, there is enough tourist traffic, let alone locals, even to the remote locations

Whats been interesting, in the meantime, is that other brands prices have come up. A basic planet ocean with a date complication is now Ł4,600, the same price as the airking. I know that Omegas, Breitlings, etc. can all be had for a discount, but it makes me think perhaps that Rolex is due for a price increase ?

I have a new and pretty good relationship going with my second AD. My first purchase with them was last month buying their last Zblue (still out of stock) and recieved a 9% discount.
I went back last week and they had 1 Polar still in the coffin, just in, not on display and l pursued it for the next few days and got it for a 7.5% discount and it wasn't easy ! starting from msrp l did the very best l could and we're all happy.

DavidSW sells them at a small discount and you get to skip on the sales tax too if you don’t live in FL!

If you love the watch, buy it. While waiting for your 10% discount the next few years, Rolex is likely to increase its prices by as much , and you’ve lost precious time.

One of the 2 dealers near me had a white dial in stock today. The other didn't have any sport models at all in stainless.

I bought mine with 3% disc at the Schiphol in late 2011, I think you can at least expect 3% for 216570. As for DJ41, I got 11% plus GST in Singapore. Both were walk ins...no prior purchase.

Malory Bath gave me a discount in January this year. I have spent a fair bit of money with them down the years, and I went in to ask in person.

I bought a Z-Blue from them this month and couldn't squeeze a penny out of them.

When I looked last week, they had a Polar in the window.
