I traded my 5711 White for....

I had an opportunity to get a JLC Master Perpetual Calendar Tourbillon in Platinum (MSRP $168k) at a really good price. Pics to follow. Thoughts?

Ya ya I know it not a Patek but....holy shit I can't believe it.

Well, although the 5711A is a great piece I think you will be able to compensate for the loss of it with your 5711R, 5522A and the RO 15400 (amazing collection by the way!) A Tourbillon Perpetual is something very special regardless of brand...a true grand complication. Congratulations on reaching the highest level of mechanical art! Wear your new time machine in good health!

PS. Looking forward to the pictures of the new beauty

I got $38k trade credit for it but now we're talking about swapping the 5711R for the white + cash. As much as I love the rose gold I don't wear it enough :)

Nice. So you already shipped the white and now trading for it back? Sometimes they have to leave before you miss them

Here are some pics. What I would say is a 42mm platinum case and buckle on a 22m thick croc strap is HEAVY.

I finally set the calendar when I got home : )

Ended up working out a deal where I ended up with both Nautiluses. Bank account hurts.

This watch journey never ends.

Anyway, here is a ad-hoc picture of the movement. JLC does a fine job.

I know how that goes. Better to lose money than watches you love

The nautilus is truly the perfect watch especially in steel. The royal oaks are too flashy and aggressive for me but has its place, the rolexes draw too much attention but have their place. The Master Complications cannot be "roughly" worn.

good trade, luckily I don't need to sell anything in order to get my SS Pepsi and 5740, but if I did I wouldn't hesitate to do it in order to get the 5740, and between a 5711 and this JLC well no comparison really, you took the right decision

Well done, that's a fine timepiece to buy piggybacking off a humble Nautilus!
