Impressive handwork but gaudy imho. I’ll take the old version without the engraving.

agreed. way too much going on. I wouldn't want the focus of my watch to be the case. I barely noticed the dial

Definitely a work of art. Not my taste - but I’ll give credit for sure.

Not my dream, can’t see any circumstances that I would wear it, it’s almost like diamond studded Rolex, maybe looks good on some but certainly not on me.

Didn’t say it was necessarily my dream ... but someone’s.
Regardless, I still think it’s gorgeous.

You said any WIS’ dream, I assume that means anyone who loves watches would dream to have one, I was just commenting not in my dream.

I think this might be the last thread I post in the
Patek forum . Apparently other Patek members
think a $1.2 + million Patek watch is a dog ...

I think it’s lovely. Have I lost my taste . ?

At that price I’d be looking at 2499s

Price doesn’t make a watch look good, for me that case is just over the top. I would be looking at 2499s too if I’m spending that kind of money on a Patek.

Yes I hear you. The case engraving on some pateks of today is impressive but certainly an acquired taste. I quite like it on the 5088P to be frank. That being said 6002 doesn’t float my boat either... oh well

I have seen this watch being worn by another person and it has a real presence. I quite like it in the metal.

This might be the ultimate watch for most collectors. This with 5208P.

I was never interested in 6002 until I met a collector who had one. When I held the watch, I started to understand why this watch is so special and why most of us will never be able to qualify for one. I'm told I have NO chance at 6002 but have a good chance at 5208. The price on the secondary market reflects the scarcity btw 5208 and 6002.
