26400 Size Comparisons
Hi all,
I'm considering getting a 26400 of some sort, but don't live anywhere near a dealer. I'll still probably wait until I can try one on to pull the trigger, but in the meantime was wondering if anyone could help me get a sense of how large it wears via comparisons to some of watches I have. The closest size-wise in my collection are likely the SD43, 15400, and Omega Speedmaster Grey Side of the Moon. Does anyone own a 26400 and one of those three (or at least have familiarity with one)? If so, how would you compare how they wear? Pictures would be fantastic, but any help will be appreciated! Thanks!

The ROO 44 will wear bigger than the SD43. Best to try it on first.

Thanks! So, from those photos, it looks like the 26400 and the 15400 are pretty similar lug-to-lug?

Also 7” wrist
26400 wears larger yet is more comfortable due to case design.

Just camera distance and a case of wrist shape I guess! I’ll try and find a pic that’s not a close up. Struggling to find any decent ones on my phone here’s the best I can find |

Maybe GB's is angled differently but looking at the lugs, it doesn't seem to be extending over his wrist like it is on yours. Like I said, maybe it's just an angle difference. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

I don't worry about it because I know it looks fine from normal viewing distance. Nobody puts their face 12 inches from your wrist and observes it. That said, there is no ignoring it is a large watch.

Thanks guys! After seeing the pictures, I know that I'll definitely have to try one on in person to make the final call -- it's going to be close.

I hope so! If it feels right, I’ll definitely pull the trigger, but there’s unfortunately a reasonably high chance that it looks like a clock strapped to my wrist... :(

I tried one on last week, and my initial impression was that I could make it work. However, that was my initial impression with the SD43, and I ended up selling that -- my decision to sell had more to do with the weight and how I just didn't like the overall way it wore than the size alone, but size obviously was a big part of it. Here are two photos of it on my wrist. Please be honest with me about how it looks. I haven't bought it yet but may in the next few days.

Looks like you wear your watch above your wrist bone, and if that is the case the 44 looks good on you, the watch case doesn’t overhang your wrist.
You must have quite a flat wrist as the 44 fit on your 6.5 wrist looks close to mine which is 7.5! I’ll look forward to the incoming |

If you want a better perspective on fit take your iphone and hold it up at your face level and take a wrist shot from there. The thing is nobody does that here or on social media because the cameras on phones cannot pic up the detailed finishing from the distance.
I think you can pull it off but the fact that you found the sd43 too big makes me hesitant to recommend it. It is far comfier though!

It's here, and looks even better in person than I remember. I ordered a small strap that comes tomorrow, as the standard strap is looser than I'd like, even on the last hole. When I look down at it, it looks good on my wrist and has no overhang. However, while my forearms aren't twigs, they aren't tree trunks, either, and when I look at myself wearing it in the mirror, it looks a bit strange, and I'll have to think about whether I'm fine with it -- this is not a problem I ever thought would arise, so I'm caught off-guard.
In the meantime, I swung by a local, smaller AD that has a 116655 and tried it on. I really like it, although not as much as I like the 26400IO, and it fits perfectly. I told them that if they could help me get a SS Daytona or BLRO quickly, I would be very interested, and the salesperson is checking if that would be possible. Ultimately, I think selling it might be the best option. I probably won't lose money if I keep it in the plastic, and if I follow my own advice from the thread I created a few days ago on the SD43, my impression that it looks weird on me probably won't ever go away. I won't make a final call until at least tonight, but feel free to PM me if you're interested.

In reality, I'm super bummed. I really, really like this watch -- from a pure looks standpoint, I'm not sure there's anything I like more -- I just can't quite pull the size off. To rub salt in the wound, the whole thing could have been prevented had the AP boutique had a full body mirror instead of those tiny ones that just let you see your wrist. To rub even more salt in the wound, this disappointment is going to cost me some money, although it remains to seen how much. Thanks, but that picture is a bit flattering and doesn't tell the whole story. Everyone in my family agreed that it looked too big on me, so it's hard to convince myself otherwise, especially when I felt the same way.
