So my blnr changes date between 10pm and 11pm every night instead of at 12 midnight.

What does this mean ? Is there an issue with my blnr ?

Have the hands realigned if you need the date to change closer to midnight.

No, it's not normal. should switch date after 12 midnight. My Rolex watches switching the date little after midnight(3 and 5 min after)

Mine does it at 12;06-12;09

Mostly 12;06

Mine around 2 min past midnight. Even sent back to Rolex who said that was within tolerances.

The mechanism in the watch will change the date every 24 hours as well as rotate at a relatively constant rate. The hands are placed on the movement posts to give you a visual representation of this rotation.

Sometimes the hands are placed on the posts without closely watching when the date changes - this does not have any affect on anything - it is just a visual representation.

If it bothers you, you will need to take the movement out, take the hands off, and re-position the hands closer to your liking, then put it back together. Or you can stop looking at the date between 10 and midnight.

Take it in for service. It should be covered as it's not supposed to change the date between 10pm and 11pm.

Is the date change occuring at a random time within the timeframe you outline, or is it consistent?

I would also like to know if you have ever had any work done to the watch recently?
Have you only just noticed it?
Is it possible it's always been like this?

My BLNR changes date around 12:04. I would send yours back to RSC, definitely not normal.

I personally would live with it until service. It is not a mechanical issue that requires service where it might further damage the movement if you don’t have it rectified. It is more of a cosmetic issue. The date change shouldn’t be occurring at 22:00, but I would rather live with it than have someone in my movement.

The less the case is opened in its life the better IMHO. This is not a big enough deal to open the case (to me).

If it doesn't bug you too much wait but it's an easy fix whether you choose to do now or wait for next service

Regardless of whether technically it is a big deal or not, a watch of that price point has to do things the way it is meant to do. One of them being change the date at 12 midnight. I would send it in and have it fixed if still under warranty.

I'm with Jason leave it until service. The least amount of time your watch is worked on less likely hood your watch coming back with more issues than had before !

I'd leave it till service time and put a note in pointing it out, its not a warranty issue as such and not wearing it while they set the hands on the posts to suit a midnight date change, and then not wearing it again while its in for a service, thats 6-8 weeks more than I'd be prepared to be without my watch.

From my experience when Rolex has to take the movement out and remove hands etc....they will give you brand new hands to ensure there are no scratches etc....

I took one of mine in and they said they were just waiting on a new hand set to finish the work as they replace them everytime they work on the watch under warranty.

Thank you so much for everyone’s response.
I only received the blnr a few days ago and I swapped it against my GMT LN.

I checked again and it seemed that the time is changing at midnight. The first night I had it I did notice it changing around 11pm instead which scared the heck out of me.

All is well now and I must say I’m impressed with the BLNR.
