Speedy Tuesday ultrman-2nd thoughts

I received my ultraman yesterday and I couldn’t wait to get home with it, however, I guess it is not callling me. I was one who loved seeing the incomings and got even more excited about getting the call to pickup mine. I have never had immediate regret like this before. The presentation is great, the watch looks great, but for some reason it’s not for me. I love my first edition ST very much and I thought I would get the same from this one. I know it’s not the end of world and I know I have options, but I guess I feel a little guilty knowing there are many on the waiting list. Just a little rant of my own for once. I was more excited about the blue railmaster I tried on.

Man, I’m sorry to hear this. Maybe see what it looks like on a bracelet and see if that does anything for you. I only have a small collection of watches but the Ultraman is one of them and it’s my teenage son’s favorite. He thinks it’s the perfect combination of sporty and classy.
I hope this works out for you, whether you end up making a few bucks or changing to a different strap or bracelet and loving the look.

This situation caught me off guard, I might need to think this one over. I agree, these watches can change in a heartbeat with changing a bracelet or strap.

And it’s good to know that you won’t lose money should you decide to let it go. It’s the only Speedy so I can’t compare it to others but I love mine. And people that compliment it don’t know the story and are just complimenting on its looks.
Whatever you decide to do, you’re in a good situation.

I'd give it some time and try it on other straps or a bracelet. It's a great watch.

There's no rush on making a move. Perhaps commit to wearing it daily for a week to get a better impression.

I agree, wear it and see what happens. Often time people ask me what my favorite piece is and the honest answer is whatever I’m wearing that day. It’s like your children, i love them all. I’m kidding of course, it’s just a material thing but you know what I mean.

Thanks for the offer, but I am just trying to decide. If I do decide to sell or trade, I will post in a for sale ad properly per forum rules.

I’ve been on a backup list for a while now. My order froze and all they could do was give me a back up spot. Don’t see it happening.

I'd definitely give it a bit of time and some strap options first.........but it is strange how some watches just don't gel no matter how good they are. I've had an LVc for eight years and despite keeping it, I have never really felt any attachment to it, unlike my Speedy's.

For me, my ST 1st is just pure love. I love it everything I put it on.

I have the same sentiments - saw the first ST, knew I had to have it, paid a premium for it, and love it. When ultraman was announced, it just didn’t sing to me and so I passed. Beautiful watch, just doesn’t seem different enough for me than my hesalite speedy pro .

I love mine although I did not expect to.

The dial is just so pretty and well thought out. Really classy.

Give it some more time.

It’s a beauty. But of it doesn’t sing it doesn’t sing.

I’d hate to see you regret it tho. It will be hard to get back. Sometimes things grow on me. I’d say give it some time

I hear you Seth. It really is a very nicely done watch. I guess regret was the wrong word and a little strong.

ha. the power of communication huh?

I totally worded that wrong.

I was meaning that I did not want to see you regret it if you moved it and wanted it back.

dude, I sold a snoopy. want to talk about regret. the only watch I regret selling.

Haha, I was referring to my original post of me saying regret. I knew what you meant and agreed. I go back and for on snoopy on occasion, but my wife loves that one on me.

Matt - Good dilemma to have. I think UM looks better on a bracelet.

I like the ultra man, but only you can decide what’s right for you. But as other’s have said, give it a bit of time. You can always sell later, but re-acquiring may be more difficult.

It is a cool looking watch. I would put it on a bracelet and see if that changes things up for you. If not, move on and find another watch that does work for you.

Does the bracelet fit the case and lugs or does it need some modifications.

I agree and much less orange off the NATO. It really suits tan/medium brown leather straps

It happens.

Your intention was to keep it but once it was on your wrist you weren’t feeling it. No worries, pass it on to another and go back to the hunt for something that will move you like your first.

I received mine recently and unfortunately feel the same. Will likely place it for sale.
