Is this bracelet at all stretched?

Is this how hollow center link bracelets are new or is there some stretch/wear present?
If so what level of stretch would you rate this?

Does anyone have a photo of a brand new hollow link bracelet? It would be nice to have a benchmark to compare to! :)

That bracelet has VERY little stretch as most here have already mentioned. Some of the sellers out there will even describe it as "no stretch" which is debatable (these would be the same sellers that incorrectly use 'NOS', ha). But point is, that bracelet is 95%+.

Here is the bracelet on my 1680 which has had very little wear for comparison:

It has very little stretch and by no means a deal breaker.

It looks comfortable. No significant stretch. Wouldn't have a problem with it.

There is a bit of stretch, but doesn't look bad at all. Clean that mofo once in a while to avoid further stretch.

Newbie question. Cleaning a watch prevents the bracelet from stretching? How does that work?

Grit & Grime gets worked into the links and acts as an abrasive which along with normal movement while being on your wrist accelerates wear.

Damn, I'd get a new bracelet with that sort of stretch. I can't see how anyone could wear a watch with that on it.

Bracelet slack appears OK.

Now if it’s 15+ years old, and you want to know if it might fail, take a look at your clasp pins and springbars.
