16800 Crystal Replacement
Quick question, I'm planning to get my 16800 serviced at a local AD and am considering replacing the crystal as the current crystal has a couple chips and light hairlines? This may be a stupid question but will replacing the crystal affect the value of this semi vintage piece?

IMHO not that important things like cystals are often service replacements so are items much like bezel inserts. To most collectors the dial hands case and even the bracelets are the most important to have original.

No problem with the value but you can't hide the change.
It will looks like this. A tiny S at the coronet you will get. The orginal crystal is marked like this. Jocke
