5164a vs 5712a - advice?
Hey everyone,
I currently own a 5167R that I love! I would like to add to the collection and I'm deciding between the 5164A and 5712A (blue dial). What are your thoughts? I currently own an aquanaut; so I lean towards the nautilus, BUT I love the way the 5164A looks. Advice? |

5164 is my favorite watch but hard to pass on a 5712 since you have the 5167r already. Any chance of getting both and letting the 67r go?

Damn. Same dilemma.. Just posted a new thread on what to get after my 5711R and 5980R.. Torn between the Aquanaut Travel Time 5164R and 5712R (both in Rose Gold). Any insight would be much appreciated !

5712/1a
It would be a great pair with the 5167r.

I can't think of a good reason to have 2 aquanauts, unless you have tons of money to burn. Maybe trade the 5167r for both watches?

If your keeping the 67r, then the 5712 seems like an obvious choice. That would be a great twosome.

In your case, the 5712 seems the obvious choice.

5164 is absolutely great, and so are 5167, 5711, 15202, 116500 and many others.
But there is no real competition (below $100K) to the 5712. Simply put, 5712 is 'the' watch to own imho. Best looking dial, power reserve, MP, caliber 240 with that beautiful micro rotor, the bracelet... It is just too much perfection for a watch. |

I wouldn't do another Aqua. I would sell the 5167r, pick up the 5164r and 5712a.

This is tough for me.
I prefer the 64. But considering your collection, I’d go 12.

Have you considered the 5164R (rose gold version of the watch) ? I've been looking into the 5164R myself. Personally, I think the Travel Time Aquanaut looks much more dazzling in rose gold..
