Trade It All In?
I brought 21 watches of Rolex, Omega, Breitling, and Tag Heuer calibre to the local AD to have them examine them and make me an offer to buy them. While there I looked at a several watches to take away the pain of loss. What do you think? Which one? So far I'm thinking yellow or white gold. Pt would be a stretch. Any thoughts?

Those DDs are 36mm, so unless you have a small wrist, I would go with the blue sub PM. Further, I think the WG sub is more versatile, unless you are a banker who wears suits each day.

No, both DDs are 40mm. The sub is thicker.

I love when people say you must have a small wrist to wear a 36mm day-date. I have a 7 1/4 in wrist and I think it looks far better and much classier than the oversized 40mm version.

Ok I would not trade to the AD. I would sell here on Trf. Fair price will sell fast.
Then you can keep half of your watches and still buy the WG Sub or the DD 40 You can tel it’s a 40 because the tag say 228238 I was thinking about selling mine as well and getting the Platinum DD batons But I’m really digging the RG Daytona so... to be continued.... Are you adverse to selling them privately?

I vote Daydate. I like WG but if you’re willing to stretch, the platinum would be amazing. Although if I were buying a platinum Rolex, it’d be the Platona.

Don't know what you are trading, but if the $ makes sense, that platinum DD is the one.

The AD is going to crush you on that deal. I would connect with a trusted seller, you will fair much better in the deal. You can take the funds and buy whatever you please from the AD.

Last time I spoke with a TS earlier this year, I was offered $3K for a blue WG Rolesor DJII. No one is going to crush me, fwiw.

That’s a joke of an offer for that watch! Glad you held out. Can’t see me selling mine ever but I’m intrigued with what you’re doing because I have days where I think about off loading my collection in a similar fashion for the one and only grail, but what hold me back is I like the variety of the collection that took me years to build up even though some don’t get a lot of wrist time, I have inner karma enjoying that they are there.

platinum is great, but i wouldn't do it if it was your one and only watch. variety is the spice
of life, so i would go with either a 36 or 40 mm yellow gold day-date and a stainless sports model. my $.02 |
