Deepsea goes out to Sea! (Lots of Pics)
Sorry guys, still have not had a chance to take the DS under water...but thought I would post some shots of the watch out at sea.
Yesterday, a friend invited me out for a quick underway around Long Beach harbor on his boat. I took the opportunity to grab some shots of the event. Just another typical SoCal "winter" day...temp was around 78 degs! Yeah, I know...tough weather to have to deal with on a daily basis. Enjoy the pics (in case you might not notice, that is the mighty Queen Mary in the background of a few of the shots). Cheers. |

Excellent.
The watch doesn't look bulky at all & the bracelet looks totally in perspective to the case. Oh yeah, the scenery looks great as well. Thanks for sharing.

I honestly believe the DSSD has taken some undue flak that I'm convinced will become less & less as more people experience this watch in person. |

The watch looks good on the guy because he's probably 6'2", 220- or somewhere close. If you saw the watch on me, it'll look like a smurf carrying a large pizza. nice watch, perfect scenery.

My arms were actually much bigger years ago in college when I hit the gym on a regular basis. Now I just drive past the gym to the fast food joint on a regular basis... and I laugh how my arms seemed to have atrophied over the years. Nice photo essay . I used to spend some time in the Long Beach area and attended a couple of the races there in the early '90's. Neat Fountain also.

Great pics Moby, gotta love the DeepSea and Reggie Fountain makes a beautiful boat. Looks to be a 48 Express Cruiser, I had to settle for a 27' Fever but none the less anytime your on the water is time well spent.

I forgot the specifics on this boat, but believe it or not it is not a 48 Express...it is actually pretty rare in that Fountain only made 3 of them (and one was destroyed during a past hurricane...so you don't see them cruising around the waterways). It is 55' (or maybe 60'...I forgot now) and unlike the Express the pilot house is larger and completely enclosed. There is actually very little seating area outside exposed to the elements. A cool boat no doubt, but I could think of a lot of other boats I would personally buy for the $ (not that I have to worry about that at this point in time) |

I'm a happily married man of almost 7 years...don't think the wife would approve of that seeing as she couldn't attend.
