green sub is hot, milgauss is not... the green on milgauss "distorts" the whole dial.. writing all all the minute markers look greenish which i dont think is attractive.. its like the white dial model looking peachy because the orange markers

I love the green sub, classy with a splash of color. I just can't get past the second hand on the milgauss. The lightning bolt makes it look cheap in my opinion. My father told me 20 years ago that if I spend $500.00 on a suit make sure it looks like a $500.00 suit.

I would go for the LV, the GV doesn't have a date and I don't care for the orange hand. The green glass is cool though.

Easy..GV.
The LV is just a sub with maxi dial and green bezel...no biggie. |

LV for me. Thought seriously about the Milgauss. Had one on the counter alongside a LV and GMTIIC. Love the dial and bracelet. But; I love a timing bezel and date feature even more. Besides there is something about a sub that makes it feel like a better all around and abuseable watch then the GV. I know the GV is equally as durable as the sub but it does not feel that way. |

depth - LV (1000ft)
date - LV oyster- GV crystal-GV (i agree it's one of a kind) superluminova- LV dial _ LV (maxi dial of course, the orange thing is not a big deall) hour hands -LV daily watch/versatility-LV (since its more sportier plus its very good on jeans, black suits, white shirt, surfing etc) history- submariner has more to offer. LV is the winner!!! what do you think LV fans out there? |

I went for both.
But both are at RSC now. One for regulation and the other for squeaky links

LV for me but mainly because I use the bezel & date on a daily basis. The GV definitely has the uniqueness going for it though...still never seen one in the wild but spotted a few LV's.

I would get the LV as long as I could replace the green bezel a black one. If that'snot an option, go with the GV.

Had them both. Moved the LV on as the GV took over as my "work" watch.
So GV for me. If you only had one Rolex in your collection I'd say you'd have to go with the LV however.

Have both too..
....Had the LV for almost 3,5 years now. Never took it off the first 2 :)
Itīs a really nice looking piece! The GV is also stunning......but more sensitive to rough usage. The PCLīs are easily scratched...but who cares......itīs build to last.......right You will be happy with both...itīs a hard choice. Good luck David

The LV would be my choice based on what I'd like a watch to do. The versatility of the bezel adds a little something for me.

Hmmmmmmm
I love Subs so I'd say LV which is a nobrainer as I bought one myself. I do however like the GV...the normal MG's don't do it for me but the Green crystal looks awesome....check out Steve's coke bottle shots, they are a thing of beauty. I'd say it depends on task involved...Subs seem a little more rough and tumble whereas the GV has those scratch magnet PCL's. Then again....Bond wears a GV..... J |
