Incoming – I am Completely Blown Away
Acquiring this watch was a bit of a pain since I do not live in Europe. I have a good friend out there who was able to get on the waiting list in October of 2017. Finally got the call in August of 2018 at which point I purchased the watch. But due to life, I didn’t get the watch in my hands until this week. I had almost completely forgotten about it and after over a year of waiting the “excitement” had worn off and overall I had very low expectations…
But I am pleased to tell you that this watch is ALL it’s cracked up to be. In my opinion pictures do not do it justice. - It looks fantastic - It has great contrasts - It’s built very well - It’s modern yet has a nice vintage feel - It has a lot of wrist presence even though it’s relatively simple in design - It’s relatively light so it’s very easy to wear Overall I am extremely excited about it and highly recommend it to anyone who can get their hands on one. I can't wait to see how it will age how the look will change. Now I do have three main observations/differences relative to Rolex: - The winding rotor is noticeable on the Tudor (not on wrist but when holding an moving the watch) - Tudor movement is significantly louder (I can hear it a foot away with the watch on my wrist on my desk. Rolex movement is near silent. - Operating the movement on Tudor is "coarser" than Rolex (still way better than a run of the mill ETA). And what good is an incoming thread with no pictures. I present you the Tudor BBBBB or 5B or Black Bay Bronze Bucherer Blue. |

Why was it a pain to buy since you aren't in Europe? Are these easier to get in Europe than here? |

Personally I prefer to get a completely different watch rather than the same watch in a different color scheme. Been thinking about getting this...

Congrats! My favorite Tudor model by a wide margin.
Given the pristine condition, would you consider taking periodic pictures to show the evolution of the patina, and sharing them here? That would make for an interesting study. |

I was actually thinking about taking regular pictures too... and I agree that it will be cool to document the patina process... So yes, stay tuned! |
