Rolex Size Help!

I tried on this Yachtmaster in 2015 and cannot remember which size it was. I have a 6" wrist. Was it the 35mm or 40mm? I am ready add a preowned one to my birthday list. I also see some threads mention that the "older" model had a coarser texture on the face. Which year would that be?
Thanks in advance for your help!

That looks like the 40mm YM.

If the pic you posted is the watch you tried in 2015 and was new (judging from the green hangtag which signifies 5 yr warranty), then you are looking for a 40mm YM ref 116622 with grey dial. All 116622s (no matter the year) had the flat grey dial. The coarse dial you mention (which sparkles in the sun) was available only on its predecessor 5-digit ref 16622.

Definitely 40mm. Looks good on you in my opinion.

I have this watch with the blue dial. Mine wears much like my older DateJust, very flat and very comfortable. I think of it as a sophisticated Submariner.
