Stolen ROLEX list 1999
Hey all, just got this old, many pages long, list of stolen and lost Rolex watches in 1999
I was interested to find it, as I had never seen one before! Not sure if of much use today? - but is it worth uploading the serial numbers here? if not just for interest? Apologies if I added this to wrong part of forum. |

Why not. They sure are an organised outfit.

Scan the entire doc to a PDF. Upload to google drive (any gmail acct) and post a link so we can all download it.

I disagree wholeheartedly. For one reason, it is a 20-year old list. For another, many may already be recovered and back in the hands of their rightful owners.
Public disclosure has one unintended consequence: it becomes a resource for scammers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I can only see that it would still be useful to know if a potential watch purchase had one of these recorded numbers? I know it is an old list, but many watches on it must still be lost/stolen? |

To what end would it be useful to anyone legitimate? Rolex will not deny or confirm the s/n had been recovered or was still missing. I am certain that we (not being scammers) would not see how such information could be used by a scammer. If there were no harm in publicly publishing stolen watch serial numbers, Rolex would have long since published their long list of them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Rolex closed their lost and stolen hotline in the UK some years ago sadly.
