Some Basel predictions from Monochrome (photo heavy)
Monochrome posted an article showing examples of their predictions for Basel. Some of them are real nice
Here’s the link https://monochrome-watches.com/rolex...-watches-2019/ Photo summary An homage to the original milgauss. Tbh, loses its quirkiness and charm in this design. But still beautiful like the classic Sub with what looks like slimmer lugs, this one is probably one of the most speculated. I’ve grown to love the maxi case so this is meh IMO. White dial explorer. Love this! Sub with slimmer case and blue bezel. Gold ceramic Kermit. This is pretty damn nice Two tone everose sub with diamond PIP Let’s hear everyone’s opinions! I love my rose gold as a man, and am a little disappointed to see it so heavily associated with a such a (goofy) feminine watch (diamond pip - really?).
Edit for specificity. I know rose gold is used in a lot of women's watches but this is silly and a bit condescending perhaps.

Who care's there will be more as Basel approaches. There was a Basel 2019 post the day after Basel 2018 started.

If we start deleting duplicate threads we can start with the shortage topic.

It would be very interesting if they decide to do some color work on the SubC (other than LV)

I may be in the minority here, but I think that YG "Kermit" looks stunning.

If they announce the blue bezel Sub, I'm going to make sure I'm first on the list at my AD.

OP appears to have missed a few key details of the predictions. The TT and black SS Subs are 36mm "ladies" models with a slimmed down case. The blue and green bezel Subs are 3235-based upgrades of the 40mm supercase case, which Monochrome is predicting will not be changed.

No worries. I just went back and read the Sub predictions again, and need to clarify a point. Monochrome offers somewhat contradictory ideas about how they think the full-size Sub will go. At first they say, "Knowing that this watch already incorporates most of the brand’s technologies...we don’t expect massive changes to the Submariner soon," while also acknowledging any update would incorporate the 3235. Just after that, they then say, "Maybe Rolex could get rid of the maxi case and offer something a bit slimmer, with more tapered lugs, like it did on the Datejust 41?"
Make of that mishmash what you will, but the renderings appear to my eyes to be of the supercase model. On the ladies version, they are explicit about redesigning the proportions of the case, which is apparent in the renderings. |

I'm calling my AD the moment the Blue Sub or even the Everose Sub comes out (if).
I passed on a LV because the green didn't speak to me...but the Blue sings to my soul |

I'd be interested in a full blue steel Sub (dial and bezel) as long as they get rid of the supercase
