Debating whether to get the 5 or 6 digit watch. I am so loving this classic GMT. No brainer. Thoughts? Cheers!

Really depends on what you want and what you are looking for. Also very much depends on how the watch feels like on your wrist. No right or wrong here... but I voted six digits because it feels more robust...and I like em with a little more heft.

Totally agree. I prefer to have a relationship with the watch from the very beginning, knowing that it's mine and not someone else's history.

That looks like a lovely 5. They wear very differently so go with what sings to you

Yes, I did. The thing is I have no issues with both. It's just that I really much prefer creating a new history with a new watch, knowing that it's mine from the very beginning. Plus, the 6-digit watch aligns with my generation so I prefer that one. :) I like the look and feel of the 5-digit to be honest, but the relationship/origin of the watch that really belongs to me is what I'm going after. :)

Almost pulled the trigger on one today but I’m used to the feel of the 6 digit and the 5 felt like a toy.

Totally can relate with your experience! Almost pulled the trigger on the 5-digit. It did feel like a toy, but I'm sure for others it won't! I guess I'm really in touch with my generation, so the 6-digit watch is really what I'm opting for.

If I had to pick I would go 6 digit. But if I could afford it, definitely both as they each have qualities I enjoy

6 all the way. After 12 years I just sold my 16710. Bought a new Bluesy. I got really sick of the old style hollow bracelet and stamped clasp. I think the newer versions of the GMT or Sub are far improved. Especially with a ceramic bezel and glidelock. The newer bracelet IMHO is far better suited to a luxury sports watch. No brainer for me.

I'm always drawn to vintage watches when I see them, especially acrylic crystal models. But they never end up staying in my collection for long. I just love how the new 6 digit models are built a bit more robustly, especially with the clasp.

If you're asking whether to buy the 1675/16750 or the new BLRO....I think I'd steer toward vintage myself. Proportions are more timeless and the modern one's got nothing on the warmth of a nice example. The 16710/16700 in between is a good compromise if vintage isn't quite your cup of tea. I'd rank as 4 digit (or 1 16750 transition) > 5 digit > 6 digit when it comes to GMTs.
