Am i the only one who likes these two tudors ?

the more i look at em, the more i like em...

maybe its the videos on the Tudor site for these two new models... but they seem more of cool tool watches vs the jewelry-like appearances of the new Rolex models

i never really liked the Bund type strap, but it really works well on this chrono...
and the P01, although not for everyone, the design really grows on u

anyone else like em or do u all think these two new Tudor releases are fail ?

pics for u guys from tudor site

I'm thinking you have clinical Basel Shock Syndrome, BSS. Maybe not enough sleep, too much TRF anxiety from the last 24 hrs. You need rest, maybe some hydration. You can recover if you take it easy. Trust me, that's my screen name.

Most of these are nearly nice watches.

The BB Chrono S&G is beautiful but at $6,000 it's a joke that it doesn't even have real 18k gold components. That's gold plate you see there.

The P01 has a great looking dial and bezel and primary case, but the endlinks and abomination of a bracelet are hideous. I'm hoping they just make it into a regular watch because otherwise I really like it.

I read the gold parts were solid except the crown was capped.

The bezel, pushers and first links are all solid gold..

My guess is that the remaining centerlinks on the bracelet are "gold-capped" steel similar to the Black Bay S&G from the 2017 release.

From my understanding the BB Chrono is actually "Gold Capped" i.e. a thick 18k piece of gold wrapped around a steel centre link. The crown, end links, chronograph pushers are 18k solid gold.

Plenty of folks like the chrono.

The P01 will be gopping no matter how many times I see it. In fact I’m going to book in with an ophthalmologist tomorrow because there’s a risk I might’ve developed malignant eye cancer from seeing it.

black bay already sounds like a pirate watch so this watch is full on Goonies. The "Sloth"

I share the same opinion. The P01 could be nice, but the strap and the way they did it, ruin it for me.

The chrono is quite ok.
P01 sends me a strong late 60s - early 70s vibe. Not for me.

If you like those two you really are suffering from BSS! I was expecting better from Rolex and Tudor.

I actually like both watches - the chrono more so. Neither are on my immediate buy list however.

Also, why is a diver on leather?

Haha I often wonder the same about my Panerai...

I believe the Tudor strap is hybrid of leather and rubber

It is, but they don't say anything about the leather being suitable for use in water. From the website:

"The strap developed for the Black Bay P01 model is a rubber base with 'snowflake' motif on the back, finished with a brown leather trim. In the spirit of the period prototype, mobile satin-brushed steel attachments connect the strap to the watch case."

Yeah its not ideal for a diver

I read somewhere that it’s a rubber strap with leather stitched on.

The leather is prob not waterproof like the swimskin

I do dig the domed dial with painted lume, as well as the domed crystal

Somebody sarcastically wrote that the Tudor P01 and AP’s 11:59 would be the perfect two watch collection, made me chuckle
