Groomsmen gift ideas?
Looking for ideas.. nothing too expensive (<$300) but would love to give something not as obvious as a whisky glass or flask lol

Perhaps an experience? Tickets for a concert/sporting event. Or a vaucher for a fine dining experience etc.

I like the experience idea, I gave my guys a nice safety razor shave kit with a monogrammed toiletry bag, inside $300 and all the guys still use them (...or so they say)
Here’s an example, but maybe this falls into cliche groomsmen gifts https://www.royalshave.com/royalshav...hd-shaving-set |

Sports tickets is a cool idea. Or since this is a watch forum how about Seiko SKX007s?

If you don’t have many just buy something they each like.
One guy liked fashion watches One guy loves whiskey One guy was a crazy movie buff Spent about $250 on each of them 11 years ago.

How's about a $100 gift card to a couple of restaurants you know they'd enjoy.

I think the experience/ gift card idea is about as lame as it gets. Gets something tangible, something real and personalized. At the end of the day it’s not the artifact that matters, it’s the men that stand with you on your big day.
I know I am personally getting customized case pocket (sharp objects) for my groomsman outfitted with custom watch / bed rest boxes. All in under 200 a guy. Watch box is about 100 and (sharp object) is about 75 Last edited by dkg1616; 29 March 2019 at 01:13 PM.. Reason: So mods don’t yell at me |

Not for 300 dollars haha but year that’d be awesome.
I did montblanc pens and some other stuff and nobody wanted them lol plus they honestly weren’t as nice as I’d expected. I’d get each a nice pair of Allen Edmonds park avenues.

This has been my Montblanc experience as well. Bit of an overrated brand and not as nice as they should be considering the price.

Agree - whenever I’ve tried one out I’ve never felt any desire to buy. Aside from the hand feel, they are also a bit too ubiquitous for my taste. A decent pen, money clip, wallet etc. are all cool gifts and more importantly can be used by the recipient on a daily basis. If you go for personalisation find something between you and them. Not the date of the wedding for example.

I would give something that has the potential to last a lifetime. The dinner and sports things are great for the memory banks, but its done. In the past I have received, a tuxedo, which I still own....a coach belt, which I still have....a Gucci credit card holder, which I still own, etc. Everytime I reach to put this on, I remember the wedding of said friend which is pretty cool.

My buddy got us all silver monogrammed Tiffany money clips. This was back in 2000. I never used it keeping it in the little Tiffany cloth pouch. It's taken on beautiful toning turning purple and turquoise.

I took old cigar boxes and filled them with a Timex watch, mini whiskey bottles, whiskey stones, and also included a monogrammed duffel bag for them to put their things in during the ceremony day - and also paid for their bow ties and socks

I got my groomsmen Vintage Porsche Carrera sunglasses. My best-man (brother) lost his in the Bahamas but the other 4 still have and wear theirs. Wish I bought a pair for myself. Now their over $300 a pair but you can get great glasses for 300 or less.

Here’s what I did:
For the groomsmen (6) I gave decanters engraved with their initials and bought their ties, shoes and socks for the wedding. For the brothers involved (my 2 plus the 2 soon to be brothers in law), I gave them each a bulova watch from Macy’s ($200-250 Range, nothing fancy nor impressive to WIS) hoping to inspire some appreciation for watches vs bare writers/apple watches. Everyone loved the gifts but I have found that in the 3.5 year since, nobody uses any of it. In retrospect I would have done gift cards. Everytime I have been a groomsman I get lousy flasks that are low quality and say “so and so wedding on so and so date at so and so location.” Would nor recommend going this route either lol. |
