Op 36 vs Datejust 36 (modern case)
Hi, is there a diffetence in the case size betweeen modern OP36 and DJ36? I just returned OP34 - despite 6.5" wrist it was to small with informal outfit (with suit I wear to work ok). Size 39+ does not work for me. I'm looking for slightly used 36 and struggle if it date and easylink are worth the price. I like OP but double markers of OP36 look a bit odd. This shall be my first and (for now) the only Rolex. Thanks for suggestions.

The sizes are the same, though the case shape between the new DJ (released at Basel last year in TT and this year in steel) and the current OP is slightly different. If you're buying used, I believe they are exactly the same.
Besides the date function, the main difference is the polished center links on the DJ bracelet. Keep in mind, if you're buying used, or a brand new watch that has been sitting for some time in an AD/grey dealer case, there are other dial options for the OP 36 that have since been discontinued (I like the watch but am not a fan of the double sticks at 3-6-9 either). For example, this is the website of a US-based grey market dealer, and can give you some clues as to what might be out there: https://www.authenticwatches.com/rol...petual-36.html |
