Daytona with a new AD relationship

Back to November of last year, I went into WOS grand opening and met Richard. He made a sincere presentation of a YM2. Im not a big fan of YM2 but my nephew wanted it as a wedding gift. Richard asked me to take a leap of faith and start a new relationship with him and WOS. So, i got the YM2 from him and asked him if I can purchase the black steel Daytona in the case. He said it is not available but he will fight for allocation.

I was frausted when someone post it that they were able to buy all those “allocated” models without any purchase history, I went back to ask him about it and he assured me that he will fight for my allocation. I already forgot about the whole thing because of the holidays and my nephew wedding.

3 weeks ago, I stopped by WOS in Soho with my friend and reconnected with Richard. He did not forget about me and asked me to be patient a little longer.
Yesterday, he msg me and let me know my Daytona is already. I got the Daytona on my wife’s hand now. Richard and WOS really came through for me and hold up their words. Richard really take care of his clients and WOS is an AD true to their words. I guess we still have hope for a great AD and a representative that care collectors

Everything has to start somewhere. I don’t think it is reasonable to expect buying a Daytona without any relationship with an AD. At least the rep remember me. Thee are many people with more purchase history with other place and still haven’t get one yet.

Only these days, it was unheard of going back a few years ago.

In 2015, I walked in John Bull in Nassau and got a black and a white 116520 without any history non bundle sale. In their case, there are Hulk, Batman, JC Deepsea and White explorer 2. The climate has changed.

I thought with Daytonas the demand was greater than supply from day one.

Back than, I remembered my wife got me that white Daytona as a wedding gift and I was really shock because that was the biggest amount of money she spent in one item in her life. She does not really like the black dial back than. So, I gave her the pink dial beach edition I got in the early 2000 as a wedding gift.

Days had changed and we nearly see a white dial explorer 2.

An AD with integrity, what a rarity these days! Actually I should qualify that, a salesperson with integrity!!! He deserves the highest commendation.

Congrats!

Yes, I totally agreed. Richard and WOS has integrity. Trust does not come easy with AD game in these days. I only collect Patek and Rolex. I have to work with AD that offers both. It will be great if they offers AP.

Daytona with a new AD relationship

Back in December 2018, I was first customer into SDGO Rolex Boutique (Fourtane). Bought DSSD D-Blue, but asked to be on Pepsi and Daytona white list. Nothing yet.
