Incoming DJ41 Blue... after a super long wait...

After a super long wait, I finally got the call from my AD to pick it up.

Compared to my DD40, it wears larger (41mm vs 40mm), obviously, and the larger size is surprisingly noticeable. I think my wrist size (6.75”) is just at that tipping point.

Nevertheless, it looks and feels great. A very comfortable Rolex to wear.

Thanks guys!

Interestingly, when looking at the Rolex website, and lots of online photos, the jubilee on smooth doesn’t capture well. In the metal, it just works and is quite impressive. One has to see it in person to truly appreciate it.

Looks great!

But I thought the DJ41 was only 39mm......but sizeable lug to lug (before that gets pointed out).

A very rough measurement using a ruler the DJ41 is almost 40mm left to right without crown and the DD40 is about a hair above 38.5mm. It’s really at least an mm difference as advertised! 41 vs 40.

Congrats on the watch, although the case size won’t be why you feel it wears larger.

The DJ41 isn’t 41mm. It’s 39.5mm.

Thanks!

My rough measurement showed below 40mm, so you’re probably right. DD40 was a hair above 38.5mm. So I’m calling it a millimeter difference between them.

I've got the same but in Rhodium.

My BLNR doesn't get any wear now as the DJ41 on a Jubilee is soooo comfortable.

I was between the Blue and the Rhodium. It was a tough call.

Congrats on the DJ blue was always my favorite!

One question to the OP, how come you had to wait so long for a DJ?

I guess the DJ is very popular at the moment and stocks are very low at ADs. In my case a white DaytonaC and a Sub came before this DJ.

Just noticed this, my watch has the apparently newer dial with the coronet between the Swiss and Made. Does anyone know approximately when this version started being delivered to ADs.

For the Datejust 41 I believe they launched with the newer movement. Happy to be corrected if wrong...
