Which side of bracelet to shorten?
I have to shorten the strap code bracelet I bought for my Alpine by only one link.
Should I take the single link off the 12 o’clock or 6 o’clock piece? Does it matter? Many thanks. |

6 o'clock. It makes the clasp center better. I took off 2 full links on my 005 from the 6 0'clock side and the inner part of the clasp is perfectly centered on the bottom of my wrist. The GS outer part of the clasp isn't but the inside tang goes a fill link and 2/3 up the 12 o'clock side.

I prefer the 6 o'clock side as it moves the watch toward me as opposed to away. Personal preference but give it a try.

Start with 6, then go back and forth between 12 and 6. 6 should have the extra "odd" link removed to keep the watch balanced.
